Occasionally when you are walking around your town, you will find an empty gold lamp lying on the ground. It looks like Aladdin's lamp from the fairy tales. This lets you know that Wisp will appear in your town that night. Sometime after 8 pm you will hear a voice, look around a bit and Wisp should appear telling you he needs his lamp. Talk to him again with the lamp in your inventory and he will ask you to go to your attic to talk to you.
Go to your attic, select the lamp in your inventory and "rub" the lamp and Wisp will offer you 4 options:
- Weeds! -- Removes all the weeds in your town.
- Smash Roaches -- Removes any roaches from your house.
- Give me Stuff -- Gives you an item not in your catalog.
- Meh. I'm good -- Wisp returns to the lamp until you decide what to wish for.

After you do that it will tell you your bell balance and if you currently have money in your pocket, punch in that number and thats how much you pay. BUT once you get to a number high enough to pay, pelly (or Phyllis) will mention how you paid it off (your character will do a little chant once you set off from the bank) and Tom Nook if you go to your current nook store will mention how you paid it off and first thing in the morning your house will be bigger and you will get to pay more money for your NEXT upgrade.
