Lexapro 10 mg enough to start up with?

10 is a reasonable amount. If you start with too much sometimes it makes you even worse. I've been through that with Lexapro already. Seriously, low dosage and work your way up. It pays off. 10 is a reasonable amount. If you start with too much sometimes it makes you even worse. I've been through that with Lexapro already. Seriously, low dosage and work your way up. Will Wellbutrin cause easy bleeding and bruises and skin rash on legs?

I'm pretty sure that your bleeding is one of the more common side effects of several ssri's including wellbutrin/zyban.

In larger doses in some people certain ssri's are known to cause brain bleeds( hemmoraging ), uterine bleeding (of the uterus)... and other such bleeds like nose bleeds.

You may get dark stools due to gastrointestinal bleeds from these types of meds as well.

Bruising and bleeding is interrelated. People who take anticoagultents(warfin, cumaden& others) tend to bruise very easy as an example of other types of drugs that may cause bleeding and bruising.

My recommendation is to take a few supplements to increase your levels of Vitamin K...

Alfalfa is great for starters. In powder or pill form is best for therapeutic levels of Vitamin k intake. Find a multi-Vitamin that contains IRON. Today due to toxicity and over dosing, many brands of multi-vitamins no longer carry iron. Women and post surgical types, and bleeders need iron added to their diet.

You can also for a short period eat high levels of red meat, just make sure its lean, ground round or ground serloin. This has protein, and Iron.

Vitamin C helps with the absorption of iron, Drink no less than 2 8oz glasses of Fortified apple juice, or orange juice, or cranberry cocktail/juice/drink

Or any juice that contains HI levels of Vitamin C. Or u could always use pill/tabs of vitamin C or powder.

Calcium is very important. If your bleeding Calcium is being lost. Most Americans are low in calcium anyway. Make sure your taking no less than 1200 mg a day. In conjunction with vitamin D. Make sure you consume no less than 1000IU Vit D. a day during the winter period. The best natural source is the SUN, but that's hard to do for some people. One hour of sun a day during warmer periods on exposed flesh is best for generating Vitamin D in adequate levels. If you live in Hi Lats, or in poor weather climates, or do not go out, or are afraid of damage via sun/uv then you MUST take a good supplement. Make sure it is only vitamin D... and not some vitamin A&D mix. One teaspoon a day of cod liver oil is the bare minimum level i would recommend.

More than 90% of Americans do not get this much vitamin D during the winter. 5000 IU supplements can be found cheaply on eBay/puritan cvs/Walgreen's on sale.

Is paroxetine a controlled substance?

Paroxetine is not classified as a controlled substance in the United States. It is an antidepressant belonging to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class and is available by prescription. However, it can have potential for misuse or dependence in some individuals, which is why it should be used under a doctor's supervision. Always consult a healthcare professional for advice regarding medications.

Can you take oxycodone and Lexapro on a daily basis?

Oxycodone is very addictive. You should not take it on a daily basis unless you absolutely have to. Lexapro, on the other hand, is not addictive at all. It is a very effective antidepressant.

***I wouldn't necessarily say Lexapro is not addictive, as it is very addicting physically. Abrupt cessation of Lexapro can be very dangerous and usually leads to Serotonin Syndrome, which from experience is not fun at all and can last 2-14 days.

But to respond to your original question, I take Lexapro 10mg and 30mg oxycodone instant release daily and have never had an issue. Though it is always wise to consult your pharmacist beforehand and/or your doctor. Different people react differently.

Are there any harmful side effects for taking the proper dosage of Wellbutrin and adipex together?

Because both of these medications (an activating antidepressant and a stimulant diet aid) have a stimulant effect on the body, there is a greater possibility of faster heartbeat, palpitations, high blood pressure; as well as teeth grinding and insomnia when these are used together.
Yes, siezures. I had the same thing..adipex and wellbutrin..causes seizures together.. check with your doctor and see if you got the correct dosages of each..where as again it can cause seizures.

Can Effexor make it difficult to urinate?

The short answer is "yes." This may especially occur when you begin treatment or change doses. In my experience, it passed within a day or two. More information is available if you google "effexor" and "urination."

Can welbutrin cause loss of erection?

Not usually, but -- depending on the dose -- it might affect some men. If it does, your doctor can usually find an alternative. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor. It's a question a lot of guys have, and your doctor should be used to it.

Should you be safe now after going off lexapro cold turkey four days ago day?

It normally takes lexapro 5 to 7 days to leave your system. Once that happens is when you may have side effects. If you do get side effects they can last for quite some time. You are normally soposed to wean of the medication under the care of your physician or psychiatrist. Consult with either if you start to feel troublesome side effects or are experiencing them now.

Is Prozac an agonist?

Personal experience of the daily use of 60-120 mg of Prozac (one of a large family of

pharmaceuticals known as the selective seratonin reuptake inhibitors) has show a

profound ability to suppress the male sexual drive WITHOUT influencing the secondary

sexual characteristics, without adverse affects on liver function, bone density, mental

acuity (memory,concentration,mood,sleep cycles,reading speed/comprehension).

These drugs have been successfully used to supress abnormal sexual drive in para-

philiacs (e.g. pedophiles, victims of hyper-sexualism, ets.)

Their function seems related to the fact that for sexual arousal to occur,it is necessary

for seratonin levels to be LOW. Since high levels of seratonin are generally necessary

for a general sense of well being (absence of depression/anxiety/mood swings),it is

suggestive that the low levels of seratonin exhibited in males experiencing romantic/

erotic love could explain why this state is experienced as being of mixed emotional

content, either very joyful or very distressing, in wild swings of emotion.

The Secondary sexual characteristics (muscle mass,body/facial hair, voice quality, male

aggressivness, ets) remain essentially intact, making these drugs a ideal solution for

male sexual problems of a pyschological nature. It is virtually impossible to overdose

on this class of drugs, and the large number of differernt drugs using different chemical

pathways make it easy to avoid building up a tolerance to their effects. One simply

need only switch between different subgroups to avoid this. More drugs, using new

chemical pathways are being constantly discovered (estimates of the currently avail-

able number in the range of 100 and is increasing annually).

Prozac is an antidepressant drug that increases the level of the neurotransmitter?

It increases the availability of serotonin in the synapses (spaces between nerve cells). However, THE CLAIM THAT PROZAC OR OTHER SSRI MEDS "CORRECT A CHEMICAL IMBALANCE IN YOUR BRAIN IS NOT PROVEN, NOT A THEORY, AND NEVER GOT PAST THEY HYPOTHESIS STAGE OF RESEARCH."

Which neurotransmitter do many antidepressants change the activity of?

The most common antidepressants prescribed today come under a class of neuroactive drugs called 'selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors', or SSRIs for short. These include: Citalopram (Celexa), Fluoxetine (Prozac), Fluvoxamine (Luvox), Paroxetine (Paxil), Sertraline (Zoloft) and Venlafaxine (Effexor).

The primary mechanism of action for SSRIs to modify the way serotonin gets taken back up at the synapse. Not all SSRIs work on boosting serotonin levels though. Some like Venlafaxine also increase the amount of noradrenaline available at the synapse.

Older antidepressants like Clomipramine (Anafranil), referred to as 'trycyclic antidepressants', work primarily by inhibiting the reuptake of noradrenaline; although like some SSRIs, their selectively is never absolute, so they also have some effect on serotonin and dopamine reuptake too.

Atypical depressants like Bupropion (Wellbutrin) and monoamine oxidase inhibitors like Phenelzine (Nardil) also exert their effects via manipulating serotonin/noradreneline/dopamine levels.

Although each class differs subtly in their mechanism of action and specificity, they all essentially work to boost biogenic amine levels in the brain (i.e., serotonin and/or dopamaine and/or noradrenaline).

And then there is something like 5-HTP which is more effective then any of the SSRI's or Trycyclic antidepressants for the simple reason that 5-HTP actually helps to create more serotonine (5-HTP is the direct precursor for serotonine).

Can you mix vigra and Lexapro?

Yes, medically they are safe to be taken together. Obviously, you should never take a prescription other than your own as there are many risks with any medication and you should discuss them with your doctor or another healthcare professional before taking medications.

If you have missed 4 doses of Lexapro--should you just start taking them again or quit?

You should take your next dose as soon as possible. If you have been on Lexapro for a long period of time then the withdrawl effects can be unpleasant, as in causeing anxiety and/or depression in a way worse than before. If you do not like lexapro you should notify your doctor and come off of it slowly.

Can you take MDMA while on Celexa Citalopram?

You can take it for sure... you won't die, but Celexa pretty much kills the ability to roll. You might get a little something out of it, but not a real rolling experience. I am no doc, but don't over do your doses just to feel something... you might die then.

Does hair grow back after losing it from antidepressants?

To be honest, I can't say for sure. I know that Wellbutrin can cause hair loss as both my mother and I were on it at one time, and both of us experienced hair loss. I've been on Zoloft for several years now and I have not experienced any hair loss. You should perhaps read the enclosed insert for negative side effects.
