Adderall is a combination of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine that is used to help treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. It is generally taken orally and stimulates the central nervous system and speeds up the messages going between the brain and the body.

When you snort the medication instead of swallowing it, the strength and potential for problems increases. This is because the drug passes directly into the blood and body tissues instead of first being metabolised.

When coming down you may experience a number of problems such as exhaustion, tension, radical mood swings, depression and even uncontrolled violence.

Long-term effects of repeatedly using of amphetamines can include:

• High blood pressure and a rapid and irregular heartbeat
• Chronic sleeping problems
  
• Malnutrition if your appetite is reduced and you aren't eating properly

Look up SODAS, that is the delivery system for most xr, cr, or la drugs. the outer layer is the drug, then an inactive ingredient, then a tiny plastic pellet which has holes in it and is full of the 2nd dose of the drug. Snorting anything can lead to pulmonary embolisms, but these especially. the plastic parts end up in your lungs and will cause bronchitis, pneumonia, and other infections. I have a Rx for Xanax and also Focalin XR which is the strongest of the amphetamines used to treat ADHD. I got creative one day and snorted the xanax, nothing special except clogged sinuses. After trying to snort the Focalin XR I had chest congestion, and excessive phlem for a long time. ALWAYS TAKE MEDS THE WAY IN WHICH THEY ARE PRESCRIBED.

Smoking pot or marijuana, if you don't already know, tends to affect people differently, depending on the person. Its effects include the need for parastalsis or strong hunger, feelings of antidepression, a calming sensation, slight feelings of weightlessness, dry or "cotton" mouth, and easy contractions of hilarity. The side affects, also depend on the person. Problems with smoking marijuana usually occurs when persin begins at a young age. In your teenage (or younger) lifetime, your brain is going through extreme changes, it is growing and learning. Interruption of this process may lead to losses in the short term memory, coordination, and reflex areas of the brain. This case does not occur as often in adult stages. However, when smoked during the correct stages of life, Marijuana can increase creativity in the brain as well as terminate feelings of depression and pain. It has also been proven to terminate pain and the actual rheumatoid arthritis and reduce inflamation of those with Alzheimers. Smoking marijuana is no problem as long as it is used wisely.

As stated above, marijuana should not be a problem if used in moderation.

Marijuana effects most drugs when smoked. Seroquel will be raised for the duration when smoking. It wil be enhanced a little but not enough to make one OD.

I am bi polar and have smoked pot for years. For the last few months I have been on Seroquel 600 mg at nite. The problem that presents itself is massive weight gain to the point that I have quit smoking entirely and switched to a low glycemic diet. Seroquel will increase your appetite and the way in which the body metabolizes carbohydrates, that combined with the "munchies" brought on by smoking pot is a bad combination. You can easily wind up with really high glucose levels in the blood.

If you can take Seroquel and smoke and NOT gain weight then more power to you.....you gotta be careful with Serquel and your diet.

The experts suggest that you avoid certain food and drink that can make the itch worse, like coffee, beer, and super sugary snacks, but in reality, if you are experiencing the withdrawals like I am, these things feel pretty necessary right now, and I'm not too keen to give them up. I've found that taking an allergy pill/anti-histamine helps quell the itch, as does submerging your body in a hot bath. I'm sure that the Aveeno oatmeal bath designed to help alleviate itch is probably also helpful in easing the incredible itches.

Also, watch for nausea, night-time vomiting, and a sudden sensitivity to every bug that is floating around, (I quit Seroquel two weeks ago, and in addition to still having symptoms like the itchiness, I have also had the flu and just got a cold). This wouldn't be weird, except that while I was on the Seroquel, I swear I was sort of superhuman in terms of what I could put my body through and still feel well. It might just have been that I was sleeping so much on it. Eventually though, I realized that I wasn't 'myself' on the pill. I kept having ideas that I was going to get better and feel better, but I couldn't follow through on anything, and wasn't inspired whatsoever, and felt like a loser. Since stopping the pill, I really feel like I am coming back to myself. I am still taking Cipralex for my bi-polar, but after learning that Seroquel was dangerous for some people long term and would make it near impossible to have a baby on it, I decided it was time to give it up.

I'm glad I did. Despite the terrible itch.
