ResocializationResocialization refers to the process of discarding former behavior patterns and accepting new ones as part of a transition in one's life. This occurs throughout the human life cycle (Schaefer & Lamm, 1992: 113). Resocialization can be an intense experience, with the individual experiencing a sharp break with their past, and needing to learn and be exposed to radically different norms and values. How do I cope with this?

I had this happen to me as well, you and him should not be together right now. He is not ready to be in a committed relationship with someone else because he has his own problems to deal with, I understand that you both love each other but speaking from experience the outcome will not be pleasant. In the end you will only feel as if you you were not good enough. My suggestion is to split up, maybe you can both work on yourselves and reconnect but for now going your seperate ways is for the best.

What if you have panic attacks and your parents don't believe you?

You need to learn how to deal with stress without panicking - that's where meditation and positive thinking comes in. Start learning something like yoga or any other meditation so that you learn how to relax whenever you want to. Also, deep breathing helps - it is physically impossible for someone to panic if they're focusing on breathing deeply. Learn how to replace panicked thinking with positive thinking as well - if you have a thought like "I'm going to die" tell yourself "STOP! (it's important to think that word because it helps you know when you need to change your thinking) While people do die suddenly, they don't die because of a panic attack. I can get through this by breathing deeply and relaxing."
