Hey I also was looking for Pivot when i first got my macbook but you actually can't get it.


There is though a very similar program called Stykz which is almost the exact same as Pivot only this is for mac.


I downloaded it for free so Im assuming it still is up for free.

Apple employees discounts have just changed, the new price is below... Employees get a $500 discount off of Apple Computers. Although the employee is only able to take advantage of this every 3 years and must be an employee for 3 months... They also cannot use this advantage on new Mac Computers such as the recently announced retina display MacBook Pro....

Apple products rarely have discounted prices. However, there are a couple ways one can obtain a MacBook Pro for less than the purchase price. Students and faculty can apply for a discount through the Apple Educational Discount Store. One can also buy a refurbished MacBook Pro, or shop online stores such as eBay and Amazon as they often have discounted prices.

Mac is a computer brand from Apple. As far as if it's better, everyone has a different opinion. I am NOT saying this from a bi-est view but I think Macs are better. Yes there are some ways in which PCs are better (for example Apple WAY overcharges for everything), I'm not arguing that fact. If you are willing to save the money, Mac is the way to go. If you just want a simple computer with simple software, PC is the way to go. Your choice.

I don't think you can as I believe "Crossover" is a DUAL video card software so you can link the two together for better usage. ALL laptop only have ONE video card, per se.

The newer laptops have a CPU based "video card" (your basically using part of the main CPU for video) that's used for every day stuff like browsing the web, checking e-mail, etc, as it saves battery life. When you need the power of the "dedicated" video card for use for high end gaming, graphics use, etc. then you can enable that one instead of the CPU one. They cannot be used at the same time.

Apple Store...it is better because where i live they give you an ipod touch free when you buy a laptop or imac (i dont know if they are doing the same thing in the whole usa)

There are many word processors available for the Mac ranging from Microsoft's Word to the free Open Office suite and covering specialist script writing and novel writing word processors in between.

There are 2 different laptops. The Macbook Air and the Macbook Pro. The Macbook Air comes in one size which is 11". The Macbook Pro comes in 2 sizes, 13" & 15". Then there is the Mac Mini which comes without a monitor, keyboard, or mouse. It is very tiny and takes up very little space and you can add any monitor, keyboard, & mouse. Next is the all-in-one iMac which comes in 2 sizes. 21.5", & 27". Top of the line is the Mac Pro tower computer which comes without a monitor, keyboard, or mouse. Each one of these can be configured to your liking.

MacBook - these ones have been discontinued but you can find them for cheap on eBay , they are compromises with mid range screen size and medium powerful processors .

In order to reformat (restore to factory settings) you need to do a clean install (using an installation disk) However, I would recommend backing up important documents, if you don't own an external hard drive, I suggest this: http://gdisk.sourceforge.net/

Your iPad will charge the fastest if connected to an power outlet. If you connect it to a computer for charging, depending on the computer, the iPad may not start charging until the computer is idle or "asleep."

The charging time for any battery operated device always depends on how many times the battery has gone through the drain-charge cycle. For the relatively new iPad version 3, it may be as short as 30 minutes but again, depending on the condition of the battery, may take several hours to get a full charge.

Also, keep in mind that the battery charge icon is not a direct measure of how much charge is left but a software interpretation of battery charge. In other words, it does take into account what you are doing so that the iPad can give you an appropriate warning of "5% charge" if you continue what you are doing.

There are many ways to use the MacBook Pro. Each function uses power.

The MacBook Air does not have a CD/DVD drive built in. It is designed to be used on a wireless network and, if required, would connect to a CD/DVD drive on another computer via the network. An external USB CD/DVD drive can be added.
