The best way to become an army ranger is simple to expalin

1. For enlisted people: go to your recruiter and ask him about the Army Ranger contract, if your already in, do airborne school, ranger school to earn your tab, then apply for Ranger assessment and selecton process (RASP)

2 for officers: same thing as enlisted exept go to college and do rotc.

No you can only be one. When your in the 75th Ranger Regiment its considered a lateral move to go to Green Beret. Green Beret takes extensive training and to keep you fresh eventually they will send you to "Ranger School". It's mainly a leadership school but is meant for light infantry training. So in that since you can have the Ranger Tab and be in the Green Berets, but you can not be in the Ranger Regiment and be Special Forces.

One can find out on how to become an Army Ranger by simply applying to defend one's country as a Army Ranger. One will find that not only the United Statses of America have Army Rangers, but also Canada and parts of Irish Millitary Defence Units share the name of Army Rangers.

The term Army Ranger is thrown around frequently but it actually refers to a person who serves/served in the 75th Ranger Regiment. At any given time there are roughly 2,000-2,200 Rangers serving in 3 Ranger Battalions and 75th Ranger Regimental Headquarters. Many people mistakenly believe that a soldier who graduates from the US Army's Ranger School are, in fact, Rangers. In reality they have only graduated from a school. Some of this confusion comes about because all soldiers who serve in the 75th Ranger Regiment must, at some point, complete Ranger School. Ranger School is open to all soldiers, primarily combat arms, and being awarded a Ranger Tab makes many people believe that they are Rangers. There isn't an MOS for Airborne Ranger - it would be a Special Qualification Identifier which comes after their MOS. For example, Infantry is the "11" Career Management Field. A Private coming fresh out of One Station Unit Training would be awarded the MOS 11B1O, with "11B" being the MOS, "1" being the skill level - in this case, 1 to indicate ranks Private through Specialist, and the "O" is the Special Qualification Identifier - in this case, "O" means he has no special qualifications. Now, let's he attends and completes jump school afterwards. At that point, he would become 11B1P, with the "P" indicating he's jump qualified. So a couple years pass, he gets promoted to E4, and attends Ranger school, and completes it. At that point, he'd be awarded a "V" Special Qualification Identifier for "Ranger Parachutist" (i.e., Airborne Ranger), so his MOS would read 11B1V.
