I am not sure what you want to know. People was shocked and saddened at his tragic death. He was given an elaborate state funeral which received national TV coverage. His image as a hero was probably enhanced. Countries all over the world, including the US, issued special stamps to honor him. Cape Canaveral was renamed Cape Kennedy. A new US half-dollar, with a high silver content, was issued to honor him. Some people called him a martyr. A massive investigation was launched into his assassination. Many people still think there was a conspiracy and a cover-up and that the real killers were never all named nor brought to justice.
