Did Igor Stravinsky play the piano?
No. Tchaikovsky is better.
It depends on the person. I like Dvorak better because he had a proclivity for oboe and English horn solos (both of which I play). I don't dislike Tchaikovsky, just like Dvorak a lot more.

How long would it take an inexperiened 15 year old to start ballet and move on to pointe?
It's not a matter of whether you are, or are not good enough, but whether you are strong enough. Some people say you are strong enough if you can stay on demi for 45 seconds, but this is a load of rubbish. My best advice is to ask your ballet teacher, he / she should know what they're talking about so if they say no, do not disagree as dancing en pointe is VERY dangerous if you are not strong enough. :D
yeh she is right I just got on pointe and oh the pain... I think that it is fun though by the way I am 12 to
Yeah shes totally right. 12 13 14 are the age you get them usually but it doesnt matter how good your technique is, all that matters is how strong your ankles, thighs, and other muscles are. i hope you get your pointe shoes:)
Do male ballet dancers have to wear tights to perform?
In practices or rehearsals, for the same reason as female ballet dancers do. It is considered an "appropriate" form of dance wear, covers up, and it comfortable. In performances, it is often just how most costumes are done. Females tend to wear dresses or skirts, and men tend to wear simple tights and elaborate tops. That is just how the costumes have evolved, generally speaking.

How is flexibility used in dance?
In almost every form of dance, a dancr must move properly. This is most over with precision and elegance. Moving fluidly is also important for many jazz or lyrical o ballet type dances, too. To be able to do certain moves (leaps, stretches, slpits, turns, ect.), a person must be able to easily move their body in the ways required without harming themself. By being flexible, a dancer is easily able to do so, thus helping them with perfecting their dance technique and the overall effect and look of the actual dance.
