What is the fundamental Baptist belief on dancing?
Dancing is a personal decision. In the churches that I have seen, Baptists refrain from dancing because of the location of dances, the trading of partners and sexual connotation in many of the dances. Baptist in general refrain from any activity that may be a "stumbling block."
--
In the Old Testament there are descriptions of the "Harlots of the Temples", meaning the pagan temples of Moloch, Belial and Baal. These harlots were women who would ply their trade in pornographic "dancing" and free and open sex throughout the temples. In the Elizabethan language of the King James, all of these activities were lumped into the descriptive word "Dancing." This word doesn't mean the dancing of the 19th century. Unfortunately, there have been styles of dancing that have been created throughout the past 100 - 125 years which would, by comparison, be not far from the temple dancing of the monarchical period of the Old Testament. So, dancing should be carefully examined to ensure it is Christ-honoring.
What are the duties of the mission department in a Baptist church?
The duties of the mission department in a Baptist church can vary greatly, since Baptist churches are autonymous (self-governing). Additionally, missions can be understood as international only. However, for many, national, regional, and local missions may also be dealt with. However, there are some common themes.
1. Promotion/Training. The missions department/committee/team should
-Train the membership in areas of Christian mission
-Disseminate missions information for support and prayer
-Encourage and train members to be involved in missions work
2. Support.
-Support missionaries and/or missions projects (materially/financially)
-Maintain contact between church and mission groups/missionaries
-Encourage missions giving
-Provide input to the Finance Committee/church on mission budget
3. Involvement.
-Provide opportunities for missions involvement.
-Develop STM opportunities
-Partner with other departments or other churches on missions
This list may not be exhaustive... but it is certainly a good start.
What is the difference between Pentecostal and Baptist hymns?
Well, it depends on the individual church. Some Baptist churches sing the same songs as most Pentecostal churches (except for songs that talk about Holy Spirit baptism--unless it's a Charismatic Baptist church). And, some non-Pentecostal churches don't sing songs about the blood of Christ. Other than that, in general, the songs are about the same.
What are the duties of the praise leader and minister of music?
Each church is different. It will depend on what the congregation requires of these leaders. In small churches they are the same person just leading the music
One does not have to be ordained to become a minister of God. Anyone who has a testimony of Christ may go about preaching what knowledge they have gained though study and prayer. So called ministers today are given that title through the schooling they have received by some religious organization. A man must be called of God, or one of His servants, who have been duly ordained and authorized to set a man apart as one holding the authority to minister the word of God.
Was there an Isabella in The Bible?
Yes, and no Isabella is not a bad Christian name! Look through the old testament pretty sure it's there it means consecrated to God or something similar if your thinking about naming a child. Also just because the person in the bible is sinful(which I've heard before was the case) shouldn't mean anything we all are... Otherwise I'm pretty sure it is that or the name Elizabeth which Isabella is the variant of-I think.
What is the reason why Baptists don't dance?
Some Baptists view dancing as a distraction and a possible avenue of temptation, and so they avoid it personally or even forbid it in their congregation - deeming it to be too dangerous of an activity to partake in, fearing that it will make them lose their focus on God.

Answer#2: vitamin
Many Christians defend their right to dance by stating that people danced before the Lord in the Bible, including David who danced through the streets. And it is allowed if you know how David danced. Every move should have it's own meaning. If you know what you are doing when you are dancing then go ahead. The problem is today we don't know how to do that with all of the...grinding and touching! We have a lot of people who think they are dancing but actually it's a copy of a different culture-dance from Africa or Asia (and not the dance of David) mostly used for the worship their own gods or idols.

Not all Baptists view it as wrong though, for example my Baptist church (which is a little different in it's ways than some others), but we have a drama department and people who use the art of dance as a ministry. We've had a Christian ballet group come as well. Biblicaly, people danced before the Lord, so for the Baptist that take Bible literally, as long as it isn't like the dancing that you see involving people air humping, having sex with their clothes on and grinding and all that. THAT will be a turn-off to most devout Baptists.
Vitamin, I am not trying to make fun of your answer, but honestly your answer doesn't make a bit of sense to me. We have to know how David danced in order for it to be right in the eyes of God? I don't think there is anyone on this earth who can show us how he danced. None of us were alive during David's time and there was never any kind of documentation to my knowledge as to how he danced. What does under watch care mean in the baptist church?
Watch Care means that you are away from your home church for a period of time but would like to fellowship with a church in the area you are staying for that time frame so you go forth under Watch Care. You do not have a voice, nor can you vote in church matters. You can hold any office within the church.
How many times is brimstone metioned in the Bible?
In the New American Standard Bible, the word "brimstone" is used fifteen times. Genesis 19:24, Deuteronomy 29:23, Job 18:15, Psalms 11:6, Isaiah 30:33, Isaiah 34:9, Ezekiel 38:22, Luke 17:29, Revelation 9:17 (twice), 9:18, 14:10, 19:20, 20:10, and 21:8.
Are there other examples of transfiguration in Bible?
"The Transfiguration" typically refers to the transfiguration of Jesus,
an event recorded in Matthew 17:1-9, Mark 9:2-8, Luke 9:28-36, and 2 Peter 1:16-18.
"The Mount of Transfiguration" typically refers to the unnamed mountain where that event took place.
That unique event is the only mention of the word "transfigured" or "transfiguration".
Perhaps the most similar passages in the Bible are:
Exodus 34:29-35: the face of Moses shone.
2 Kings 2:11: a chariot of fire, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Hebrews 11:5, which refers to Genesis 5:24: the translation of Enoch.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 and 2 Corinthians 3:18: the resurrection of the dead.
Revelations 1:16: the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
What version of the bible is accepted by the southern baptist convension?
Any version they think is God's word. BUT, there are 233 different versions, only ONE is true and the southern baptist deny it, the KJ AV1611 version, which has been PROVED
to be from the "originals Scriptures".
If any pastor, church, or professor in a "Christian college" says otherwise, they are flat liars. Check history.
baptists worship by them being given the chance to stand up and express what god has told them to say.And they always say what is on their minds not bad things but the good things that happen in life or things like that and if they have a problem the say it .
What kinds of food do Baptist people eat?
The only real restriction when feeding Baptists is that (in general) Baptists don't drink. Recipes that include alcohol are usually edited to substitute something else.
As a Southern Baptist, my church held dinners each week. Casseroles, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, macaroni and cheese, watermelon, red velvet cake, that gross marshmallow and jello stuff, basically anything you'd find at a school potluck is included. You're probably good with any kind of homestyle, American cuisine.
in Texas, our churches almost always have Texas Sheet Cake at a potluck. Of course, we just call it "sheet cake." A good recipe is below:
Ingredients:Grease a 15X10X1-inch or jelly roll pan or a 13X9X2-inch baking pan; set aside. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
In a medium saucepan combine 1 cup butter, 1/3 cup cocoa, and 1 cup of water. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. With an electric hand-held mixer on medium speed, beat chocolate mixture into the dry mixture until thoroughly blended. Add eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla. Beat for 1 minute (batter will be thin). Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in a 350° oven about 25 minutes for the 15X10-inch pan or 35 minutes for the 13X9-inch pan, or until a wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Pour warm chocolate frosting over the warm cake, spreading evenly. Place cake in pan on a wire rack; cool thoroughly before cutting.
Makes 24 servings.
Frosting:
In a medium saucepan combine 1/4 cup butter or margarine, 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, and 3 tablespoons buttermilk. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; add 2 1/4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until smooth. If desired, stir in 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans.
Hope this helps!

John the Baptist's death prophesied in the Bible?
No so much his death but the fact that he was the forerunner of Jesus was prophesied by Esaias saying "the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." (Matthew 3:3)
