They were very much underrated at 245 HP and 355 Ft LBs of Torque. They essentially set the new standard for what would prove to be the quickest production cars in both years. This included all the Italian cars as well as the Corvette which in folklore that is what ended the Buicks Reign as the King of the Hill. There seemed to be an unspoken rule that no car should shame the Corvette. Well, it did many times over.
On the same token you had the T-Types and T Package cars in 1987that had the exact same drivetrain as the Grand National but we available in colors other than black.
