The gas tank on the 2009 BMW 7-Series holds 21.7 gal..

First check your battery to see if it is fully charged. If so then look under the hood at the fuse box and there is a black or gray box (that has motor written on it) that holds approximately 4-6 fuses in it. They my be wet or blown. Check all fuses. I had this same problem with my 1997 BMW 740il. My fuses had gotten wet. After drying them my car started.

Its in the trunk on the right side.

It is not a v-belt but a rib-belt and there are two the a/c rib-velt and the water/power stering/ alternator rib- belt and the way you remove them is to release the two screws atached to the two springs to releave the pressure off the spring therefore reliasing preassure on belt. it is easier if you takeengine fan off, the treade on the fan works the opposite way. not righty tighty but righty lossy.

The starter on a 1996-98 BMW 740il is located on the right side of the vehicle under the engine down by the transmission. Opening the hood will allow you to see the the starter from the passengers side of the vehicle.

The 750 is 2006-2008 models

The 745 is 2002-2005 models

They have a slightly changed headlight, taillights, and slightly changed interior/electronic software.

The 750 has a 4.8L V8 360HP engine

The 745 has a 4.4L V8 330HP engine

as you open the hood or bonnet, there will be a square oil cap located on the front left of the top of the engine (passenger side) nearest the fan or radiator, it will have a picture of an oil spout on it.

the oil filter is on the the drivers side nearest the fan or radiator, it is a enclosed canister with a black cap with a nut on top of the cap for easy removal, 21 or 22mm socket i believe. unscrew the cap and remove the internal filter, dont forget the rubber O ring on the cap to replace at the same time, should come withe the filter.

Be sure to drain all the oil before removing the cap for the oil filter or you will have an over flow of oil out of the oil filter canister upon removal.

this car takes 7 to 8 qaurts of oil.

Yes, I actually used a 1991 535i seat and put it in my 1990.

There is a jump start terminal under hood with a red plastic cap on it. Ground can go on bolt right next to it.

Usually indicates a charging system problem. Could be as simple as a broken alternator belt.

Have access to a '95 540i and an '87 635csi. Both cars have leather clad seats.

Your engine has individual coil packs, most of the time one or more of the coils is breaking down and arching in the spark plug tube, take it to a professional to diagnose properly.

The only safe way to transport a BMW is to put it on a flatbed truck. If you tow using a hitch you risk damage to the rear differential and/or the transmission.

Try your cars horn ; if it does not work also then you have simply blown a fuse-refer to owners manual-if horn works , you can buy a generic replacement lighter for approx $10 and install it yourself very easily. When you see the replacement ,removal and installation will be very obvious and need no tools other than possibly a pair of needle nose pliers
