They often are, especially as puppies. But two out of three Boston Terriers that I've owned have been very sweet, calm dogs; especially the one I have now. She just wants to sit on your lap and sleep all day. But the one I had before her, she was very hyper. Sweet, but a little crazy.

The first treatment would be to throw away the food you have been feeding him and the treats and start fresh with a 4-5 star dog kibble and 5 star canned food if you use both. Make sure it says (grain free) on the bag and the treats need to be grain free too as your Boston has allergies, most do. Once you do this it is a good idea to bathe them once a week to remove anything on the skin with some Tar and Sulfur shampoo which you can buy at Petco or the vet. Until the hotspot goes away apply hydrocortizone and tea tree oil mixed half and half with almond oil or olive oil. To stop the licking use the tea tree oil mixture because they hate the smell of it. My Boston Terrier was born with NO TAIL at all. Nothing. Nada. For quite some time I've wondered if this is a fault on the breed, but no one has been able to answer that. And I do mean NO TAIL at all.

My suggestion would be to dilute the water by draining 1/2 of it & refilling it with the wonderful spring water that you have. :O

Of course! that happened to mine. My little Cholo was so happy to see me when his big eyes I don't know maybe he was to excited that one of his eyes just popped out. I ran into the vet and he put it back to him. Iwas terrified I thought he might not be able to see again from that eye but he could. Just make sure your dog doesn't get to excited to see you. don't leave him alone for too long.

The Boston Terrier breed is much like all the other breeds. My 1 year old male terrier mad my 5 year old female terrier pregnant, so I would say at about 11 months of age, they are ready.

Any breed of dog can be a good companion to another dog. However Greyhounds are used for running and they love it, so if your dog is into running I suggest you get another Greyhound.
