There are a few things which need answers here. What reason did he have for accusing you of stealing? What was it you were supposed to have stolen, and from who or where that he had cause to accuse you? Did others see you steal anything. If no one else can accuse you it is your word against his.

If that person was/is really the love of your life you don't forget him or her. Not only will you not forget, you do everything in your power to stay with that person. Sometimes if things do not work out between the two people you don't forget the person but you do your best to move forward if it's not possible for you to be together (example: the other person does not want to be with you for whatever reason). If there is chance for the two of you to work things out then do your best to work things out. If one person is willing and the other is not then it's time to move on even though you will not forget that person.
