There are a few things which need answers here. What reason did he have for accusing you of stealing? What was it you were supposed to have stolen, and from who or where that he had cause to accuse you? Did others see you steal anything. If no one else can accuse you it is your word against his.

Ask yourself "Do I really want him back after accusing me of something I did not do?"

You may not have any proof that you did not steal, but then it sounds as if he has no proof that you did. It may be his was of using a drastic measure of dropping you. If that person was/is really the love of your life you don't forget him or her. Not only will you not forget, you do everything in your power to stay with that person. Sometimes if things do not work out between the two people you don't forget the person but you do your best to move forward if it's not possible for you to be together (example: the other person does not want to be with you for whatever reason). If there is chance for the two of you to work things out then do your best to work things out. If one person is willing and the other is not then it's time to move on even though you will not forget that person.

As hard as it is you must act like they are not there, there is no way someone can get over a 5 year relatinship in that short amount of time before being with someone new, everybody needs time, all that's going to happen is he'l realise that the grass isn't greener, and you will need to make him chase and literally beg to come back, hes goin to make himself look stupid believ me, he'l regret it i promise but in the mean time keep telling yourself he will want you back but the question is will you want him back when you can see what type of person he is after 5 years together, be happy and write a daily daily diary in 3 months time read it back you wont believe how different you feel it'l make you a stronger person.
