I take dogging someone out as mistreating them or using them or making a fool of them. When someone is dogged out they are mistreated to the point where they're at their lowest, and most of the time, they don't even realize it because they are so used to it. Someone can be dogged out sexually, mentally, or emotionally.

In my opinion and experience, he wants to be with other people without you around. Whether its just to experience life alone b/c he was previously involved in another relationship and didn't get that chance, or b/c they want to experience life without you to see which is more important or enjoyable to him. Maybe, he already has found someone else and this will give him the chance to see if it can go somewhere better with them, than with you. Sometimes, they just want to be with the guys, but usually if those guys are cheaters, he will follow their lead. Some want the best of both worlds and just don't want to be lying to you about what they are doing, so taking a break gives him the chance to be free without hurting you. Guilt-free freedom. If you wanted to go straight or curly or you've always wanted to get streaks (flattering of course) then get them. Look good for you and keep an active social life. I did all of this and he came back and even went as far as finally bringing me home to meet his family to show me how much he was ready to commit. We were dating for a few years and he never brought me home. He just needed a swift kick in the pants, a reality check that he could actually loose me to someone else. I looked good, I made him believe that I was feeling great even though I missed him. And it tore him up. Now the risk with this is that he is in fact seeing someone else (which I believe my guy wanted to do but didn't want to cheat on me so he "needed his space.") This could drive him to her but chances are if he really loves you, like my guy loves me, he will have second thoughts and not want to lose you.

It sounds like your efforts might be better spent learning how to move on. The end of relationships are terribly difficult, but sometime's there's not a lot you can do. If your ex-boyfriend finds his way back to you, it will be of his own accord and in his own time. If he doesn't, you're free to move on a find another person with which to share your life.

Shes obviously hanging on to him for some reason, if she wanted you 100% she would have left him, you cant make her do it, its her choice. you cant "get her" to leave him, if she really wanted to be with you, she'd have left him ages ago..

send a letter I think you just say - I'm so sorry this has gotten out of hand and let's just agree to disagree and be friends again. If it's a fight where you really are in the wrong, agknowledge it and say "Sorry if I hurt you"

That's like answering the age old question "describe what love is." It just happens when two people fall in love. The chemistry is right and I do believe in auras. Auras surround every living thing, and that's also makes us dislike or like a person immediately. I hate to say it, but it means he doesn't really like you. Men still have those cavemen instincts--when they want something, they go after it, and there ain't nothin that's gonna get in his way lol. I'm sure he does like you to a point, but if he were really into you, he'd never take a risk that you might find someone else and say that he wants to be single.

My advice is to find someone else. You sound like a fabulous girl, and trust me, there are plenty of fish in the sea and there is a guy out there who will be sooooo into you he'd never wanna leave your side for a second, much less say he wants to be single and risk watchin you walk out the door for good. I know it hurts to hear it, but if he really was into you he would not be saying that.

It depends on how you feel about that person and how they feel about you. Think about why the relationship ended the first time, could the same problem happen again? If you broke up because he treated you badly then he might do it again.

If it's not like that and you really believe that it could work then you should go for it.
