Will 26'' rims fit on a 1969 Buick Electra?

No, 26-inch rims are generally too large for a 1969 Buick Electra, which was designed for smaller wheel sizes typical of that era. The stock wheel size for the Electra is usually around 15 to 16 inches. Installing such large rims would likely require extensive modifications to the suspension and wheel wells, and may also affect the vehicle's handling and performance. It's important to consider both aesthetics and functionality when upgrading wheels.

You have no power at the fuel pump where is the fuse Buick Electra?

In a Buick Electra, the fuel pump fuse is typically located in the fuse box under the dashboard or in the engine compartment. To find the exact location, refer to the owner's manual, which contains a diagram of the fuse box and identifies the specific fuse for the fuel pump. If the fuse is blown, replacing it should restore power to the fuel pump. Always ensure to check for other potential issues if replacing the fuse does not solve the problem.

How do you get power to electric antenna on 1975 Buick Electra?

If it had a power ant. before the easiest would be to find the break in the wire so it works as it did. If it's new then you will have to run FUSED power to it from a source in the fusebox through a switch that is able to control the up & down.

How do i replace the starter on an 1989 Buick Electra?

first disconnect the battery and do not reconnect until completely through installing the starter.the starter is located right above the cross member in the middle of the car right behind the front bumper. to remove the old one you first have to remove the plastic dust cover. disconnect the two wires from the soleniod which is facing the passenger side of the car. then lossen the starter bolts, one you can see from in front of the cross member and the other from the back side of the cross member. the bolts are torqued down pretty tightly so be careful not to bust knuckles, I suggest using a breaker bar to help get leverage. be careful getting the old starter out it's really heavy, you can rest it on the cross member if you need to, just don't let it fall on yourself.keep the shim/shims from the old starter though there might not be any. sometimes you don't need shims I typically use what was there previously. to install your new starter if possible get someone to help. it's easier for one person to hold the new starter in place and person #2 start the bolts in the holes. make sure the bolts are correctly threaded before trusting the weight of the starter on them, if they aren't the starter can drop causing very painful injury to you or itself. if you have a torque wrench there is a specific amount the factory recomends tightening the bolts I however don't know it. I strongly recomend either purchasing a torque wrench or at least borrowing one. if one is not availble tighten the bolts as tight as you can and make sure you check them a few days later if they aren't tight enough the starter will loosen itself. connect the wires to the new starter in case you don't remember the larger wire goes to the top and the smaller to the bottom. the dust cover is a pain to get back on, the car will run without the cover but a lot of grime will get in there and could possibly cause future problems. if the starter makes weird grinding noises (while starting) you might have to go back and change the shim or shims. good luck

How do you replace the thermostat located on a 1985 Buick Electra?

It is at the engine end of the upper rad hose. Remove the housing and there it is. When replacing it make sure the spring goes toward the engine/

Where is the thermostat located on a Buick Electra?

It's best to know the year, model, and engine information. That being said, here's my view... The thermostat will most likely be on the intake manifold, where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. The "housing" is kind of a "elbow" that connects the hose to the manifold. Two bolts will hold the housing in place, and there may be any number of things stuck on top of it. There will also be a smaller hose, on the housing, that connects to the water pump. It's actually rather easy to open this housing, and replace the thermostat. Don't be surprised if the housing does not come loose easily. Old gaskets can hold pretty tightly. I normall just LIGHTLY tap the housing, with a hammer, until it comes loose. Hope this helps!

How do you take apart the dashboard ignition on a 1967 Buick Electra?

It's been a while, but I believe the trim ring on the dash around the key cylinder unscrews and the ignition comes out the back

There should be a small hole in the face, insert key and turn ignition to "on" position, insert a wire (paper clip) into small hole and pull on key, the lockset should pull out, this will allow you to remove the trim ring around the key cylinder.
