Why clarified butter lacks the butter flavor?
It is just the oil or fat in butter, the milk solids have been separated out and there went the flavor.
To correct the answer above:
The butter oil that results when clarifying butter is full of flavour components!. The quality of the butter one begins with and the process used all add to the final resulting butter oil.The salts are skimmed off the top of melted butter ( in a heavy saucepan over low heat) and the proteins ( milk solids) sink to the bottom. If left undisturbed they help flavour the clarified butter ordinarily leaving it with a slightly nutty flavour and a clear golden colour. If you make this at home : once there are no more salts rising to the top (skim with a spoon) and the butter oil begins to turn from lemon yellow to a golden color, you can control the flavour's richness by watching carefully- do not disturb the butter by stirring at all - and once the solids begin to turn brown a clear liquid remains above the solids in the pot. That is the clarified butter or ghee or butter oil- they are all the same thing. At that point remove from heat and carefully pour off the butter oil into a clean glass container with a tight fitting lid.Butter oil needs no refrigeration but does solidify in cold temperatures. It quickly liquefies when near a heat source ( i.e. placed next to the stove while cooking.Even over a pilot light on a gas stove for a short time). One pound of butter yields about a third of a pound of ghee.In some seasons the butterfat content is higher in the butter and you will get a higher yield.Using unsalted butter helps eliminate the skimming task. The key is not disturbing the melting butter and making sure that there are no particles in the oil you pour into a storage container. If particles are present filter them by pouring the golden liquid through several thicknesses of cheesecloth ( cotton cheesecloth.Do Not use the polyester type for paint straining.)

The Witch of Blackbird Pond When I pick up this book and start to read it, I cannot put it down. I am hooked in.
The author did not pick random words and put them together in a sentence or a chapter, but she
knew what she was writing and she felt what the characters and what they were thinking.
When I read it I had to read to a certain page, but I wanted to keep reading. That's how
you would feel when you read this book. That's why you also need to read this book. Just
because it is called The witch of Blackbird Pond, it does not mean it is excactly about a witch.
This book is aoout a frre-spirited colonial girl from Barbodas whose parents die and she
lives with her grandfather until he died, then she moves to Wethersfield. Where her aunt
and her family live. She has to learn to adapt to a 1680's puritan town. She meets new people
and she also meets a widow who is accused of being a witch by the town, and the girl becomes
friends with her. Then things go south for both of them. If you want to know what
happens next you should read the book yourself. #81. How old were you when your parents died?

At the end Nat proposed to Kit. They had got married outside.
Kit and Nat got married. They lived on the ship that Nat had, named the
WITCH. Hannah Tupper died after a year and they had a funeral for her
and had set her body on fire and they threw her ashes into the air. After a
decade Kit and Nat had three children. Two girls and one boy. They named
a girl Mercy and the other Judith. They named their boy Nick. When Nick
grew up he had gotten his own ship. Mercy and John had only one child
and it was a boy named Matthew. Judith and William had two children
a girl and a boy. They named their girl Hannah and they named their
boy Jacob. Judith and William moved into the house that William built
and Mercy and John lived with Rachel and Matthew. Rachel and

had died. So basically Kit and Nat lived happialy ever after on their ship.
Will one tub of butter spread 40 pieces of toast?

On a wooden butter mold how do you put the butter in so it will come out easily?
Don't soak a wooden mold. Ensure it is well oiled and seasoned with food grade mineral oil (not a veg oil like olive oil which THICKENS with cold), left to sit a while so oil soaks in - apply, sit a few minutes, wipe off, reapply in a day or two... same as you would with a new cutting board.
Then pack in the butter and chill WELL. It's all in the chilling - the colder the better. Freezing the butter mold is NOT hard on the wood and is what he would do to ensure a good clean release. Pack it, cool it in the fridge, then pop in the freezer at least a couple of hours before trying to open the mold. Overnight would be better.
Seasoning with oil prohibits water from getting in and raising the grain. It follows that this is something you rinse & wipe off, not something you dunk in the dishwater.
Can you make kraft mac n cheese without butter?
Yes, you can make Kraft mac n cheese without butter. You can use vegetable oil, olive oil, or coconut oil as a substitute. You can also half the butter it calls for. You can use just milk and leave the butter out completely, but it might not be as good, as the consistency will be a bit off.
Why do you not melt the butter when you are rubbing in?
Because it would make the pastry too soft to work with. You need to be able to mould it to fit the container (such as a pie dish) - so it needs to be fairly stiff, yet malleable.
