Function generators fall into two basic categories, analogue and digital. Analogue generators use a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) to generate a triangular waveform of variable frequency. Sinusoidal waveforms and square waves are generated from this.

Easier and no codes are required; do the following:

1. Turn the TV on with your TV remote.

2. On the new remote HDA-IR2, press "Prog" and "TV" buttons at the same time until the red LED is on; release.

3. Press the "TV" button again to start the auto search and aim it towards your TV.

4. The remote will cycle through the stored codes. The TV will turn "off" when the right code is log in. You should imediately press "Prog" to stop the cycling, the code will then be saved in the new remote.

5. Press the "TV" on the new remote; your TV should turn "on". If not start over again..you were slow at pressing the "Prog" to stop the search.

5. Next program the Volume control, Press "Prog" and "TV", release, and press "Vol-" ... new remote will blink twice. This will control your black box volume. You can set the black box to near max and control the volume using the TV volume.

6. Now press "Prog" and "TV", release, and press "Vol+". You now can control the volume of your TV. If the sound is compresse or fuzzy, lower the black box volume.

To program my Samsung Bluray remote for my Sony TV I had to turn on the TV then hold down the "TV Power" button on the remote and enter the numbers 35 while still holding down the "TV Power" button. You can try 48 if 35 doesn't work.

That depends on the plan you get. For basic cable the cost is about 35/month, but then there are incentives and discounts to lower that cost. Dish network starts off at about 30/month, and then the prices go up based on what channels you choose, so in that sense Dish can be more cost effective. However most cable companies offer package bundles with phone and internet service and if you take one of those bundles, cable service works out to be more cost effective.

Position of the satellites in space and the way the signal is manipulated will give some areas a large signal and others a smaller one. think of it like a flashlight. when you shine it on a wall the center is very bright and the edges less so. If you are at the outer edge the signal will be less. Also the small dishes signals are subject to line of sight. So anything that can get in the way will cut the signal. Again the flashlight. If a branch or piece of paper is placed in front of the light then the light is reduced.

So far as I can tell. cadtv stands for CAble Digital TV I have no idea if it is specific to LG sets or is a general term.

they will and do.. I have them hooked up as such. SOME older tvs - flat screens included" do not have the ability to unscramble the cable signal, so the signal needs to go thru a convertor box, so the tv can read that signal, and make into something you can view.

Either your TV has the closed captioning feature, or it doesn't. Most TVs do. The option can be found under the menu on your TV, usually easily accessed using the remote. If it isn't under the menu, check the remote for a captions button. If it's not in either of these places, your TV probably does not support this feature. Good luck!
