Can you apply vitamin E lotion to a cat's nose?
Um probably but the cat will likely just lick it off.
If i paint my cat's nails will she die or get sick?
She will not get sick as long as she does not lick her nails while the polish is wet. Once it is dry she will be fine. Why you would want to paint your cats nails in the first place is beyond me. Just use some quick drying nail polish and you'll be good to go.
Can you give a newborn kitten a whole milk?
No. Cow's milk should never be given to cats, especially young kittens. Cats cannot digest the lactose in cow's milk and can cause diarrhoea, which can be a major health risk for young kittens as they can die of dehydration very quickly. Kittens need their mother's milk, or if the kitten is an orphan, you can either find another nursing cat who can take one one more mouth to feed or take on the challenging task of bottle feeding it. Special kitten formula such as KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) can be bought from your local vet.
Herbs that cause miscarriage in cats?
There are a variety of herbs that can cause miscarriages in cats. Some of these include bitter melon, anise seed, calamus root, dill, goji berries, nutmeg, tansy, and wormwood.
Will a younger kitten about 7 weeks old bond better with me?
Removing a kitten from it's mother at a younger age will tend to give you a more neurotic cat, with a greater potential for negative behaviour that will be very difficult to correct. Allowing the kitten to complete it's emotional growth with the mother will give a kitten the best chance to grow to be a well behaved cat who can bond well with it's owner. A kitten that is removed younger will tend to be more dependant and needy. If you can't meet these needs (guessing you are not going to devote your life 24/7 to making sure your cat feels secure) it will likely withdraw from you some what, decreasing the bond you seek.
Some cats do not "fit" with some people, the same way not everyone you meet is going to be a close friend. Adopting an adult cat at a shelter may give you the opportunity to find a cat that "fits" with you as it's personality will be more developed
Kittens are cuddly with most people so there is little chance to see if there is a real chemistry. An adult cat can bond a deeply with you as a kitten could, but that depends on the cat and on your ability to be part of that bond. The same issues that might keep you from having a good bond with a kitten may keep you form having a good bond with the adult.
My guess is that for you a older kitten who is feeling solid in it's world and is ready to leave mom and explore the world would be your best bet to have a deep bond.
You need to be consistent and present with your cat. By present I mean when you play or spend time with your cat you need to have 100% of your focus on doing that. Not talking on the phone or other things that take your energy away from your cat.
Hope this helps.
What if the fur on a cat's tail is stripped?
That means it has no fur on its tail. It is fine. Maybe the cat kept licking its tail until the tail went bald.
Do newborn kittens come in their own placenta sack?
Yes they do. Sometimes these sacs bursts while the kitten is in the birth canal, sometimes they don't.
The mother cat should make sure the kitten is safely out of the sac once it is born, if she does not you should do this, if not, the kitten will not be able to breathe!
If the sac bursts before the kitten is born, the mother should pass it soon. Sometimes female cats eat the placenta, don't be alarmed if you do not find any, this is what is likely to have happened.
What are the things that should be in a cathouse?
food , water ,any favorite toys , a scratching post ,carpet (dont get a carpet scratching post because your cat will confuse it with your carpet)
Is it possible to put a cat with a fractured pelvis in a cart?

How serious is a tear in a cat's third eyelid?

lactating means that the brests of the female are full of milk for the baby <3
How do you make formula for a kitten?
I don't think you can make it. You simply don't have access to all the necessary ingredients (all the nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and other substances that go into it). Even if you had these ingredients, I don't think you could just throw them all in a pot and make formula. They make this stuff in factories, not in home kitchens.
Any formula you make yourself simply would not have the full range of nutrients that a pre-made formula will. If not cooked properly, it could even be dangerous. Do you really think it's best for your kitten, to feed them something you just haphazardly threw together yourself, having no real scientific knowledge of what cats need to eat and how it needs to be prepared?
It would be much better for the kitten's health if you just bought it, instead of trying to make it. It's available in any pet store, and it is not expensive. Just ask the salespeople if they have kitten formula for kittens that are not old enough to eat solid food.
The liquid formula usually comes with a powder supplement, and you mix a certain amount of the powder into the formula. The amount you mix in depends on the kitten's age.
What do you mean by this? A dog moves like a cat , I guess????
What does a healthy cat look like?
A healthy cat will have clear eyes without discharge, and hair that is generally smooth and shiny, without any patches missing. An adult cat is at a healthy weight if you can faintly feel the vertebrae of the spine if you run your hand along its back. When viewed from above, you should be able to see the "waist" tapering a little; in other words, you should see the roundness of the stomach, then a little dip, then the roundness of the hips.
How do you potty train an adult cat?
Potty training my cats were very simple. All I did was get a litter box put in my bathroom and filled it with litter and then just put the cat in the litter box and they just knew what to do and now they where to go to do their business. It also a good idea if you have multiple cats to have more than one litter box if they are inside cats. another problem is if you have a door on your litter box I'd recommend taking that off for a couple days to get them used to the litter box first. Now if you have outside cats you don't have to worry about any of this. Another thing is it might be to dark for them so maybe leave the light on.
Your kitten keeps meowing for no reasaon he hardly ever meows He is 9 weeks old is this normal?
Sounds like the same thing my daughter had with her kitten.
I had her bring him to my house and he nursed for awhile and then I fed him some soft, canned cat food. ( I have the mother cat here) He stayed all night here and ate more soft cat food and slept all night long. He had been crying for a week at her house, non stop 24/7.
All it was, was he was hungry or starving and she had hard cat food, I sent home a can of my soft food and he was back to being a normal kitten then.
She felt awful because she had no idea he was so hungry!
What food can you feed your cat to keep the litter box smell down?
High-smelling cat feces is from undigested grain-proteins in cat food fillers. Worst offenders are corn, wheat, and soy. Rice and oats aren't great fillers either, but seem to be better tolerated by most cat digestive systems.
The most effective diet to lessen litter box odor almost eliminates the smell of the feces. It is also the healthiest, and mimics how cats eat in the wild. But it takes more work than most folks are willing to do. It is feeding a homemade, balanced, raw-food diet.
If you are interested to know more, you can find recipes on the web. You also can buy frozen raw food, but it is very expensive.
And, if your cat or cats are over a year old and never have eaten raw meat, then you most likely will have to train them to enjoy it by dicing and mixing it with some canned food they like.
Next best to lower litter box odor is feeding human-grade, grainless canned food, such as Wellness brand, with occasional or small amounts of grainless dry food if your cat enjoys it. Cats in the wild don't drink much water as they get most of what they need from their food. But if you feed dry food be sure to offer plenty of clean, filtered water.
To lessen the feces smell even further, supplement this cooked diet with a daily raw chicken heart, or golf-ball-sized portion of raw poultry, or beef, if not daily at least a few times a week. If they won't eat the raw meat in chunks or slices, then do the dicing and mixing trick, or mince it with poultry shears and mix into canned food.
On this diet your cats will defecate less, too, because they will be digesting more of their food. And you will be amazed at how little their litter box smells.
Raw meat treats diarrhea in cats, too, almost always eliminating it.
But don't feed raw ground meat because it harbors bacteria.
Cleaning the litter box is so much less a chore when it smells mild. And clumping litter scooped twice daily or more as needed will stay so clean, and bacteria free you need never or almost never change it.
If your cat pees against the back wall of the box, the easiest, cheapest solution I know was recommended by a cat-owning vet. Dilute household bleach with water 32:1, put it in a spray bottle, tilt and shake the box toward you to shift the litter away from the wall and spray clean the marks, drying the wall with a paper towel.
Once you've got the system down this goes fast.
