It's because the young are riding on high hormones and are not wise enough at this point to want to settle down to a permanent relationship and it's not really expected of them. Don't be in too big a rush to settle in with one person. You will have to accept the fact he doesn't want to be with you. It hurts and most of us have felt that hurt when younger (sometimes more than once) but, there are great things ahead of you and romance is one of them. Keep your head high, chin up and tell him to hit the bricks! Young guys like an independent woman and it actually hurts their feelings when you don't put up a fuss. If your boyfriend has told you that he wants someone else then he's not worth bothering with, If your boyfriend can't appreciate what he has then he doesn't deserve you. Don't try to change yourself just to keep him. Its not right to do so , but I know it happens being my ex's mother slept with he brother in law from her second marriage and destroyed a family temp. and 5 years later they remarried and have a very healthy relationship since she is out of their lives!

The question isn't why other couples my be vulnerable, the question is why YOU may be vulnerable. There are as many reasons as there are people in relationships. It's not an exact science when it comes to figguring it out. First you have to find out what's wrong with the relationship, then you'll know how to fix it, if that's even possible.

Since we live in a time where people are very into instant gratification, there are a lot of people out there that enter relationships for the wrong reasons, or stay in them for the same. People can change, tastes change, desire fades, what's left over is what you have to base a relationship on and in our current me me me society it's not typicaly the same thing as wehn it started, and unfortunately not always enough.

Normally dreams can play tricks on our mind, to make us paranoid or even take things to extreme levels. its probably nothing to worry about, its just what you dread most, and its bound to pop up in your mind. It happens all the time, like some people have worst case senarios in their dreams, such as death. And this would probably be your worst case senario. Its just paranoia carrying on in your sleep.

• Humans are not perfect and they can make mistakes and in the case of your affair which did end you hopefully learned from your mistake. Unfortunately, when you chose to have an affair you were irresponsible; hurt your wife and you were not honest enough to tell her about it yourself and she had to find out the hard way. You broke that bond of trust that comes with loving someone. Hopefully, good communication skills between you and your wife and perhaps marriage counseling will let you earn her trust back (which may takes months or even a year or more) and then the trust is earned back. Just be patient with your wife. Spend time on the weekends with her and if possible, take her out for dinner (does not have to be at an expensive restaurant) buy her flowers once a month (even one single rose with a bow on it) and to get her mind off the hurt (and if you can afford it) plan a romantic vacation somewhere even if it is just a few hundred miles from home. Bed/Breakfast places by the ocean; lake or just looking at mountains can be a romantic place to mend fences.
