It could be one out of a hundred reasons of a combination of part of all of them. The issue should be discussed between the two of you. If he is unwilling to discuss this with you, then I believe it's time to find someone who does not exhibit that kind of behavior.

This is going to be hard specially for you. I don't think its your job to tell. Why don't you talk to your father and tell him that you know what he was doing. Tell him how you feel, even the pain that your having right now. i think that if your friend has gone on holiday for a whole weeek and you hang out with him or her than find some other friend that you know, ask them if you can hang out with them for a week and say that I am only going to hang out with you until my friend comes back and then end the conversation with an okay or sorry I hope you don't mind or something relevant like that anyway. A lot depends on his other behaviour and the quality of the relationship you do have with this person and WHO this person is in terms of overall integrity, but I think anyone who has the mobile phone switched off (or in the car) for much of the time has something to hide. The possibility is that he doesn't want to be disturbed by work related or other calls, but one would think that his phone would be answered by him before you SOME of the time he's with you. Look at his behaviour overall and if things don't seem right to you, don't even bother looking for answers: send him packing and keep the door closed. You need to deal with your husband, first. Many believe in forgiveness, regardless of what has happened. If he has committed adultery, you have the right to divorce him. If you have chosen to forgive him, like if you have children together, you could ban your sister-in-law from your house, and you also demand that your husband never associate with her in private. But remember, your husband was responsible for his actions. I'd also make him get an STD & AIDS test as well. This may be the first one that he got caught with, but not necessarily the first one he cheated with.
