What does moon cheese taste like?
Bologna History:
(The Ligther Side of History which means some historical fact and a whole lot of bologna)
NASA likes to tell a story of shrinking budgets and overwhelming costs for the reason the moon missions finally stopped but the true reason is the Moon's proclivity towards consumption of cheese. Brie...a very expensive cheese. The Moon loves brie and can't get enough of it. In 1972 the United States finally ended its moon program because of the Moons insistence on more cheese...brie. Because of the ever rapidly diminishing relationship with France who owns most of the brie and because of a sharp rise in inflation and unemployment the ability to supply the moon with brie became too big of a burden. Since the Moon, being essentially barren and lifeless, did not produce any sort of profitable yield for the United States, the government saw no reason to continue feeding the Moon tons of brie every mission. Besides, brie tends to make the Moon flatulent which can be really smelly for the solar system.

Although you can make your own ricotta (which can be substituted for cream cheese) by heating up milk (whole or semi-skimmed) on the stove until it boils, taking it off the heat and adding 1tsp of lemon juice or vinegar. At this point it will curdle, and you strain it through a sieve lined with muslin or kitchen towel to catch the "curds", which is ricotta cheese. (Do NOT continue to heat the milk with the lemon juice added - the mixture will explode on the hob). Let the cheese cool and use as for cream cheese.
