depending on the year of the car, Chevrolet had developed cars that had the same body style, but with different names. for example, in 1968 Chevrolet had built the chevelle.and this body style had several different variants, one would be a Malibu, then a chevelle Malibu, a chevelle, and a chevelle super sport. so a chevelle clone would be just taking a car with one body style, and converting it to a different variant that had the same body stylr. it would be like taking a chevelle-Malibu abd converting it to a chevelle ss.

Remove the bottom first. It is spring loaded. It has a couple of rods built into the bottom of it that lock into some hooked brackets on the floorpan. Push down and back to get it loose. The rear is actually quite easy once the bottom is out. Two screws at the bottom, then slide it up to unhook the top.

Externally, the 572 is virtually the same as a 396, it just has a slightly taller deck height because it is based on the 427 truck block. If you have a console shift then there are 4 screws that holds the polished panel on. Remove them and there are 2 more that hold the shift panel in. turn it upside down and disconnect it.

I had a popular AX4N front wheel drive Ford automatic transmission. When the(lock up) solenoid went bad the car would start and idle but stall as soon as it was put in gear. So, it would run but not in gear. There is a code for the problem. After the solenoid was replaced the trans. would still intermittently have a solenoid problem. After a few days of driving it started to work properly all of the time. I have put over 50,000 miles since with no problem. The trans. had about 100k when problem started. I suggest proper service with fresh fluid.to keep things from sticking inside trans.

That would be a 4-barrel ROCHESTER 4MV QUADRAJET CARBURETOR. Unless... It's an L78 (solid lifter, 375 HP 396) then it would most likely be a Holley 780.

There are several screws underneath the dash as well as some bolts that hold the dash in. Remove the dash pad from the top first to get to some of them. Remove the steering column as well.... It will get in the way when you try to take the dash out. I'd tell you where all of the screws and bolts are, but they're literally everywhere underneath the dash.... The main bolts at the sides and center aren't the only ones you'll need to remove. You will also have to remove the speedometer cable and all of the wiring.
