What is the biggest size engine that will fit in a 1977 Chevy Nova?

The answer to this question is, more appropriately, "How big is your wallet?" The frame on these cars is similar to what came on the 67-69 Camaros and Firebirds. There is plenty of room to fit a big block Chevy, Pontiac 455, Buick 455, Olds 455, and very likely a Cadillac 472/500 with factory parts. The Chevy big block can be made to over 700 cubic inches. This is not the cheapest option ($40k plus). There are many companies that offer frame mount conversions for almost any engine. If you have access to a welder, these frame mounts would not be difficult to fabricate.

How do you adjust 600 cfm holley?

The idle speed and idle mixture are the first things to adjust and are very easy. If there is an off-idle stumble or a bog, you'll need to make adjustments to the accelerator pump and possibly the power valve to suit your engine. Here is a link to a Holley manual that explains it in detail: http://www.holley.com/data/TechService/Technical/Carburetor%20Tech%20Info.pdf

Is a 1979 Nova costly to restore?

It all depends on the current condition of the body/paint, powertrain, and suspension components, it also depends on how far you want to take the restoration. The fact that it is GM, car parts are readily available and usually interchangeable, and the Nova was a fairly common production car, so there really are no exotic or hard to find components, and the parts for it should'nt be astronomical in price.

How do you tub a 1974 Nova?

You can either buy or bend sheet metal to follow the orignal shape. Cut the wheel well out inside the trunk and expand it with the sheet metal, then weld everything up and prime and paint the welds to prevent corrosion. now you can run a fatter tire with more backside on your rim.
