How can you get custody of your child who is in custody of the state of Washington?
You must petition the court that has jurisdiction and present argument and evidence to demonstrate to the court that your gaining custody of the child is in the child's best interest.
In the state of Washington, if the parents are unmarried the 'tender age' doctrine suggests that the mother will usually have an advantage in a custody dispute ceteris paribus.
If the parents have been married they begin on a even playing field in the event of a dispute.

Does my ex husband still have to pay child support but now quit his job?
It depends on the state you live in but most states use the same calculation for child support. The calculation figures in the percent of time each parent has physical custody of the child, a comparison of each parents wages and any extra costs for the child(ren) such as daycare and health insurance.
For example: If you and the father exercise physical custody the same amount of time (50/50) and your salary is greater than his then you would more than likely be paying him child support but if you pay for their health insurance and daycare then those would be deducted accordingly and like wise for him.
Once the court orders you to pay child support, you must make the monthly child support payments starting on the date the judge orders.
In every case ordering child support, the court will order that a wage assignment (garnishment) be issued and served. The wage assignment tells your employer to take the support payments out your wages.
When the local child support agency (LCSA) is NOT involved, both parents can agree that payments can be made in some other way and can ask that service of the wage assignment (sending the wage assignment to the employer) be "stayed" (put on hold). In this situation, the parents work out how child support will be paid and handle it between them.
If the LCSA is involved, they have to agree to have the wage assignment "stayed." The LCSA will most likely want an active wage assignment in place with the employer if they are involved in the case. They will also want all child support payments to go through the State Disbursement Unit.
Not paying child support can have very serious consequences. If the court finds that you have the ability to pay support but are willfully not paying it, it can find you are in contempt of court. Being in contempt of court could mean jail time for you for not paying child support. This enforcement tool is generally used only when all others have failed since it has such serious consequences.
IMPORTANT!! If the reason you cannot pay your child support or are falling behind is you lost your job, your income went down, you went to jail, or some other important change happened, you need to ask the court to change your child support amount. DO NOT WAIT. Even if you lose your job, you will be responsible for the full amount of child support until the child support order is changed by the court.
Can you stop visiting your father?
I feel that you can never stop visiting you own father, he is the one who gave you life and you should respect that and look after him. My grandpa is ill at the moment and my dad goes to visit him every day and takes him presents this shows you should never stop visiting.
It could depend upon the length of time the mother has been claiming the support for the child who no longer lives with her. In all likliehood, the mother will have her ADC funds cut off and could, possibly, face prosecution.
How do you give full custody of your child to a friend of the family who lives in the U.S.?
A parent can only give a friend or relative temporary custody of a child (meaning three months or less). If one wishes to have someone take full permanent custody of their child, the parent needs to relinquish custodial rights and the accepting adult needs to apply for legal guardianship through prescribed legal methods. The other option is obviously relinquishing parental rights so the child can be adopted. The legal process is quite different however if the child is not a U.S. citizen.
Yes you can. Call Child Welfare and express your problem. If they don't give you a direct answer or try to help say the word, "media" and that will get them hopping. Also, you can have your children arrested for being verbally or physically abusive, damaging your property or even attempting suicide. I do feel so badly for you because I know this was not an easy decision for you to make, but sometimes, certain people raise their children just fine, but once the children start going to school there are times when parents just lose control. You are smart to see that you can't do anymore for them and that you would be the last person they will listen too and that need professional help. Now is the time to get them the help because once they are no longer a minor you have lost total control of their safety and future well-being. Many kids going through these rough times and causing heartaches in families often make a 90 degree turn around. Hope your girls are one of the numbers. Good luck Marcy

If my child gets auxillary ssdi payments does that cover child support?
SSDI paid on the child's behalf, based on the obligor's account, is considered child support. The obligor would owe the difference, if any, between the amount of support ordered and the amount of SSDI, but the obligor should immediately take steps to obtain a modification to set the amount down to the amount being issued. see links

The parent that pays child support does not need to pay child support for her child`s kids, only the current right parent.
A child cannot be forced into seeing a parent if they don't want to. It's their decision and nobody elses.
That is not correct, you can force the child to go, or the father can force them to go as they can not make any legal descions the parents do
Yes. California is a community property state, therefore all marital property belong equally to both spouse's and it is not likely the business would be subject to claims by a child of the deceased. This especially holds true if the business was jointly acquired during the marriage.

When you file for child support should your new wife go to the child support hearing?
When I went to my husband's child support hearing, I was not allowed to go back with him. Even though I was paying for the medical/dental benefits for the children, and my pay stub was being used as proof of these expenses, only the mother and father of the children in question, and any lawyers representing these parties or the children- are allowed to be in the hearing. Now, if it goes before a judge b/c you all can't agree, then anyone is usually allowed to sit in the courtroom as a witness.
Also- spousal income is not figured into child support (at least in the state of Maryland), but supporting other children that live within your home is.
