Can an 18-year-old get an apartment while still in high school and living as a foster child?
Hi, Im an 18 yr old girl been in foster care all my life sense I was 4 days old. when you turn 18 your legally able to do what you want (within boundaries) such as the law etc.
I have recently got my own place, My foster parents DO support me and I receive support and help finiancally from AFTERCARE team, I don't know if its the same where you live but something should definatley be in place to help post foster care kids like you and I, Im really glad I have the support actually.
You need to make sure you are ready, are you working a partime or fulltime job and will it be somewere close to where you are now to the area you know with people you know? who will support you with the move?
Everyones situation is different, these are questions only you can ask yourself, try to prepare yourself but if your upbringing in Care hasent been the best then you will obviousley value this leap into adult hood and independence, but yes an 18 yr old CAN get an apartment, but think finiancally.
I rent mine and its only 45 pounds a week, I live in Ireland(northern) and its only 2 seconds where I live now,and my foster sister is in the same street. It wasent so ncie to begin with but has been painted and I got MONEY an aftercare grant which you should be intitled to to do it up and get cooker and bed and tv etc. then you can work and save and add the bits you want like ornaments and pictures.
I have to pay gas and electric on top of that. they pay my rent for me until im 19, as im still in fultime edcaution but I work partime in a department store also and the gas and electric isent dear. I can check when its running out. Its little things like that you need to think about too.
I have a long term boyfriend who lives neabry with his parents for support as well as my foster family and the team..
so IF I CAN DO IT YOU CAN TOO!
but think about money and the area and you support team. the people you can call apon if something goes wrong. and find out information like do you get the grant and setting up home allowance? that I got etc
GOOD LUCK I HOPE YOU GET YOUR FIRST PLACE AND SETTLE IN WELL!
BUT REMEMBER YOU ARE 18 WE ARENT CHILDREN ANYMORE AND EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE LOTS TO LEARN LIFES WHAT YOU MAKE IT.

Usually if a man wants to restore the marriage, it probably is genuine if he is prepared to do whatever is necessary to restore your trust in him. This includes staying away from the woman he was with, even if it means moving or changing jobs if financially possible. A willingness to attend counseling is another indicator, and doing so is often needed to deal with the emotional damage. You will also be able to tell by how caring he is to you over a period of time. It isn't necessary to live together while you go about fixing things and if you are apart it might make it easier to ascertain his real motives. After you have been cheated, it is very difficult trust again, so it isn't surprising that you would ask the question.

Even with a custody award, if the child is in state care, his chances are 15% in getting the child. see links below
In California can you lose visitation rights if you do not pay child support?
No, nor should you. Of the two, a fatherless child is far more damaging to society. see link below
Is it still abondoment if child's father pays child support but has had no contact for 2 years?
That would depend on the laws of your State.
Generally, the crime of child abandonment occurs when the parent who is charged with the custody and care of the child leaves the child with the intent of abandoning it. Therefore a father who is paying child support is the non-custodial parent and cannot be charged with child abandonment. You can check your state laws at the related link.
No, but they frequently do to create multiple claims.
When you have joint custody with a primary does anyone still have to pay child support?
Family Court when deciding issues such as child support, takes many factors into consideration. Where the child(ren) live for the majority of the time. Which parent has the largest expendable income. How joint custody is set up. For instance, if the child(ren) live with you during the school year. But, with the other parent during holidays, summer vacation, etc. Each parent could be liable for paying support for the length of time the child is in their care.
Do you still have to pay child support if a child lives in Haiti?
Yes, if you have been ordered to do so.
No. I assume you are a single father. As a single father, even while ordered to pay child support, you have NO SEEMED RIGHTS TO SEE THE CHILD, in the United States. You voluntarily gave them up when you had sex with her, and no, ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
You need to petition the courts to permission to see them. see links below on what to do.
If this is court ordered.
How do you file child supports arrears judgment in the state of California?
Once the child has aged out, request a final judgment of support owed from the family court judge. With this you can file a civil lawsuit, however this usually requires the use of an attorney. California does have Doc Prep services, which are paalegals that can help you do it pro se.
The issue is not connected, so yes, times three. Most often I've seen cases where the women target good income earning married men to get pregnant by. When I worked as a cab driver, I would hear them brag about it.
As a father who pays child support do I have a say in my child's religion?
As a father if you have sole physical custody of your child you can ask the court to have your ex, pay child support to you, and the same would go for her. It is who ever has the most physical custody of the child and also if that person asks the court for child support payments. Answer #2 Yes you do have a say in your child's religion if you have any legal custody of your child. Find out through your court more information about this.
No. It's your Will, and those wishes must be followed. The only thing that will happen is that probate will come into effect after the death of the person, all creditors, house/property taxes and personal taxes are paid off. What is left in the estate after that goes to the person(s) you have named in your Will. ==Additional Information== In Texas, the right to inherit from a biological parent is not cut off by termination of the parent-child relationship, UNLESS the order terminating the relationship so provides. One of my colleagues was involved in a case in which an adopted child, then an adult, was able to unseal the file in which the parent-child relationship was terminated. She used the argument that the right to inherit gave her the right to the information. Having said that, Texas does not have forced heirship. A properly signed Will can disinherit a child, including one from a terminated relationship. A child born after the signing of a Will in which the Will does not provide for after born children is treated as if the child had been included in the Will and the same as the testator's other children or, if the testator had no other children, the child gets the share the child would have gotten had the decedent died intestate.
I'm not a lawyer or anything near it, but to the best of my knowledge the parent who is retaining their rights can request that the parent relinquishing theirs still be held financially obligated. I've also heard that in the case that the request is not made, the parent relinquishing their rights is still responsible for any arrears owed.
Can a British child not living in the UK sue her father for not paying child support?
No but your mother can. The child support goes to her and not you.
Yes, until/unless the child is adopted.
DO NOT ever pay child support to the mother or the child. Pay it through the courts or the State Disbursement Unit.
In general, parental rights are terminated either preparatory to an adoption, or after a trial in which it is determined that the parent is unfit. In any case, termination of parental rights does not, in itself, terminate child support.
Can you supena a child on a protection order?
You would have to ask your attorney or the judge hearing the case their feeling on this issue. Depending on the child's age it MAY be possible but, realistically, most judges decline to have the children in contested actions appear to testify. The leading experts in the field are of the belief that seeing their parents in open conflict in court can damage or destroy the child/parent bond.
