What are the kinds of sudoku?

SUDOKU or Single Number, is a Japanese number puzzle that has swept through the world with the same gusto as the Rubiks Cube. Newspapers carry it, software houses, toyshops and bookshops sell a great deal of it. There is even a world championships. In the basic form it is a nine-by-nine grid divided into nine (sub-set) squares of nine squares. Numbers between one and nine are strategically placed by the compiler and the player is invited to fill in the rest. The rules are very simple, the game is incredibly addictive. Fill in all the squares with one number each of one to nine. There are to be no repeated numbers in any vertical or horizontal line nor a repeated number in any sub set (square) of nine squares. How hard can it be? Common variations of Sudoku are 8x8, 12x12 and 16x16 squares. Letters or shapes can be substituted for numbers. Other Japanese number puzzles include Kakuro, Kokonotsu, Kikagaku, Samu.

Does it cost extra to call someone in a different country on a home phone?

Yes, international rates are usually substantially higher than domestic rates. Partly this is due to the fact that other countries can charge whatever the heck they want for interconnections, and a few countries opt to use this as a source of revenue... they gouge the phone company, who in turn gouges you. (Of course, part of it is legit: paying for satellite time, undersea cables, or whatever can get pricey.)

Which domestic animals have long life span?

I know birds often live to the age of 25 and more. Parrots are very long lived if cared for properly. Some can even out live their human owners. Horses are a fairly long lived domestic farm animal. It is not uncommon for horses to live 25+ years with a few living well past 30, and rarely 35-40 years.

Should humans use other animals for organ transplant?

It is rare, but it does happen that animal tissue is either implanted or used in such a way to replace an organ or machine temporarily to procure treatment or prolong survival. It is quite reasonable to assume that there is a much higher survival rate with human to human transplants than animal to human transplant, this is because the cells between humans are very similar however the cells from other species are drastically different.

There are many reasons why you should or should not use animal organs. One of the biggest dangers is that a virus would pass from animal to human much like a number of other viruses we have seen in the past.

The answer also depends on a certain factor. If the question was "Should humans use other animals for organ transplants now" it would have to be no. There are too many risks involved and not enough testing. When the first human transplants took place a lot of lives were saved but a lot more lives were lost due to the lack of information.

In the future however this may become a viable option, organs may be able to be taken from animals. The question you proposed though is 'should'.

This depends on the ethical concerns of taking something from someone else without permission, but an animal cannot give permission. One of the oldest philosophies in the world is to, "Eat what you Kill." That doesn't necessarily mean animals, it can also mean plants as well. If we were to use that philosophy, then as long as the animal didn't suffer and we consumed it, then there is no reason not to use the organ for transplant, in fact it would be more ethical to use the organ as it would last longer rather than eating it.

Animal rights however shouldn't be taken lightly, there are a lot of others out there who believe that animals should not be abused in this manner and there are a lot of points that could be made about this. For instance, animals are of lesser intelligence, would you take a favorite toy from a child merely because you wanted to play with it? Crude but the point is simple yet brings another point to the surface.

The question you'll really want to ask yourself is, "Is your life, worth more than the animals." Because eventually that is all this will boil down to.

Whats the difference between psychopathy and sociopathy?

Some classifications these are the same or similar, however popular use of these terms in a specialised setting tends to dictate:

  • Psychopaths: Are born with psychopathic traits, and are innately unable to feel as a normal person would.
  • Sociopaths: Are made - their sociopathy develops as a result of contributory factors during their childhood and early teenage years.

Of course in reality it is unlikely this is as cut-and-dry as that. A mix between predisposition and contributory factors is likely to occur, however, it is also possible that a very emotional person could become sociopathic as their tolerance for emotional damage would be low. It is also possible a person who is innately psychopathic to an extent could also be sociopathic to the extent their limited but existing emotions had been damaged eg. by childhood abuse.

Hematocrit is the proportion of blood volume that is occupied by red blood cells. For man it is normally about 46%, for women 38%. What does an early miscarriage look like?

A miscarriage early in pregnancy can resemble a large clot of blood. Sometimes a women does not even know she is miscarrying. Most miscarriages happen before the 7th week of pregnancy (which is about 5 weeks after conception) and only 3 weeks after a missed period. Which is why most women dont even realize anything is wrong. As the embryo grows the miscarriage will be much more noticable. Usually intense cramping followed by a day or two of bleeding, eventually expelling the embryo(s).(which might resemble a tampon in size and coloring) If experiencing any signs of a miscarriage it is important to be seen by a doctor. Sometimes a womens body does not expell all the embryo and sac and this could lead to an infection. A procedure called a D & C can be preformed to prevent this.
