How can I fix 2000 Chrysler Sebring JX instrument cluster voltage problem?
Using a multimeter and spark tester will help find the source of a voltage problem on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring. Having a repair manual on hand will troubleshoot the system, but many electrical problems require tedious sifting through wiring to find the faulty short or ground which is causing an issue.

How do you put in the fuel pump on a 1999 sebring jx conv?
you most likely will have to drop the tank. most fuel pumps are located on top of the fuel tank. when the tank is dropped you will see this round mounted thingy. that's your pump. be careful taking it out since they are 2 separate parts pushed into each other. before going thru all the hassle however, check if your pump is working. somewhere on your engine block is a valve (covered by a rubber or plastic screw), take of the cover and push the valve with a screw driver. you'll have to have the ignition on (but not the engine!) for this test. if you can see (smell) the fuel come out, your fuel pump is most likely ok. I don't know what kind of engine you have, but call Chrysler and ask were the valve is on your block. it should be on the passenger side somewhere.
addition to the above answer:
From SEBRING JXI DRIVE IS LOVE:
I have a Chrysler Sebring Convertible JXi 1999. At the moment, (Sept 9, 2008), it appears I have a failed fuel pump assembly. Further diagnostics to come over the next 48 hours. Partial diagnostics have been completed. I have the factory service manual. As far as I can tell, both from the manual and from visual inspection, there is no Schrader valve on the fuel rail on this car. This is a "one line" fuel system, without a return line. The manual refers to relieving the pressure by removing the relay, then running the car until it dies (this would be great, if the car ran, which it would if the fuel pump were working, in which case I would not be needing to relieve the pressure, etc). Can anybody say Cath-22? Today I released (disconnected) the fuel line connector toward the passenger side of the engine area, to relieve the pressure. There was none. I then cranked the engine, and got no fuel. So either the pump assembly has failed completely, or there is some other aspect of the overall management system that is preventing the voltage going to the pump. The relays have been verified as OK. Incidentally, on this specific car, there are 6 relays in the large fuse box in the engine compartment, and they are all the exact same part number, so they are interchangeable, for testing purposes). The point is, this car HAS NO SCHRADER VALVE (pressure relief valve) as far as I can tell. Many cars over the past two decades do traditionally have Schrader valves on the fuel rail, but this one doesn't (2.5L V-6). I am open to correction, of course. Thank You.

How do you change the braking switch on a 1997 Chrysler Sebring LXI?
oh ugh... oh ugh... this little thing is hard to get to but well worth the effort to replace yourself. up above or behind your pedal there are two switches (it has been a while since i replaced mine so these are general locations) supported by a beam. the switch that is connected to your lights is also part of your cruise control system. there is a connector on the back to unhook once you get it removed from the support beam. the switch will require some force to remove it you just push in the direction that is away from the pedal. once you get it out unhook the connector and remove the old one. that is only 1/3 the battle.. putting it back in is harder than getting it out.. (isn't it always that way?) i recommend hooking the connector back up and then trying to put it back into its place. you have to force it back into the retaining hole and then make sure that it is far enough to contact the brake pedal when it is not pressed. have a friend (or check when its dark before driving) assure that your brake lights are now working. if they are working go out and check if the cruise control cutoff is working by setting your cruise control and pressing the brake. like normal it should deactivate your cruise control speed and allow you to coast. if not the switch is defective.
When a crash is reported by the airbag computer the engine computer shuts off the ASD relay (auto shut down). The ASD relay powers the fuel pump and coil(s).

How do you take out an instrument cluster in a 1996 Chrysler sebring jxi?
Pop out the bezel around the radio and note the 5/16 bolts (4 of 'em ) holding the main cluster bezel down. Remove the Fuse Access door on the driver side with the door open and remove the 5/16 screw just inside the access area. Remove them and GENTLY pull up on the assembly until it begins to pop out. The entire assembly should lift out from around the instrument cluster. Remove the 4 screws on the cluster (same size as the others) and lift the cluster. Lay the cluster down upside down and CAREFULLY unplug the cluster. One Blue, One Black connector. VIOLA! it's out. Replace in the reverse order.
