Jack front of car up after loosening wheel lugs. Safety, safety with supports. Take wheels off. Loosen two bolts on back of brake calipers and take out. Slide whole caliper off. Take out old pads. Use wood clamp to push plunger back into the caliper until it stops. Put in new pads. Put caliper back on and apply mucho grease on bolts and reinstall. Put wheels back on, snug lugs, lower car, tighten lugs. Pump brakes. Seat pads. Note, good time to grind down rotors at this time or replace.

This is indicative of the blower resister failure. The resister is designed to fail "open" on the "maximum" position to permit continued operation. The resistor should be located on the passenger-side of the vehicle, accessible under the dash by removing the "soft" covering. Make sure you get the correct part to fit or you may have to modify the opening where the resistor fits for size (newer resistors are designed a little larger, requiring you to expand the opening (all plastic, so not too difficult, but it is a hard to reach area so working in the space is difficult)

If it's anything like the '98 model, the battery is located behind a panel in the wheel well of the front driver's side. The owner's manual says you can turn the wheel outward towards the left as far as possible and get to it, but they must think we all own a garage lift. Get the jack out of your trunk, because you are going to have to remove the front driver's side tire and wheel to have enough room to work here. You will also need a Phillips head screw driver to remove the panel, which has aobut 8 - 10 screws holding it in place. The panel cover is located at the front of the wheel well, to your left. Remove all the screws, pull the panel cover off, unhook the battery cables, (you'll need a wrench for that)and replace the battery. Mine was a side post battery, so make sure you are getting the correct replacement, about $59 at AutoZone. Replace the cover, put your tire back on, and you're done. Thank goodness they have changed this in later models, I'd like to club whover had this idea like a baby seal. Not an easy job for a female, unless you're machanically inclined, and have enough muscle to lift the battery from a kneeling position.
