Both Rosa Parks and Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. were married to others before they ever met. Rosa was married to Raymond Parks in 1939, a barber in Montgomery Alabama. Rev. King was married to Coretta Scott in 1953, who was studying on a scholarship to the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston when they met.

In Nelson's adult life his occupations included boxing. He also went to college to be a lawyer. Nelson went to jail for TWENTY-SEVEN years.

Rosa did not attend a public school until the age of eleven. Before that, she was home schooled by her mother which was a teacher Rosa Parks was taught to read at a young age. At age eleven she attended the Industrial School for Girls in Montgomery. When she graduated high school in 1934 women and blacks were not allowed to enroll in southern colleges. Later on Rosa also attended Alabama State College for a short time. A few years later, her mother and brother died as well.

Rosa Parks did a lot of major accomplishments. Rosa Parks stood up for herself. She was also brave and fought for her rights. Rosa stopped the separation between black and whites. Rosa also didn't obey segregation's. Rosa Parks did 5 major accomplishments.

In Montgomery Alabama, Rosa Parks refused to get up when the bus driver told her to let the white citizen sit in her seat. She said no. She was arrested; and because of the brave things she changed the world in many ways.

Martin Luther King helped stop segregation in America and other places. He felt very strongly about it and alot of his ideas were excepted and achieved. He thought that black people should have the same rights as white people and that they should not work as slaves. Martin Luther King died when someone shot him because they didn't believe in what he said.

The conflict was Rosa Parks, a black woman,an African American, not giving up her seat to a white man on a public bus. Racism was still a big factor in the South (especially Montgomery, Ala.).

The compromise came later after Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King and members of the NAACP fought to change laws, for the rights of all blacks to have the same rights as the white people.

Well she became apart of a Civil Rights movement for Black people in the US, and she effected racism in a huge way. It all began on a bus where Rosa Parks got on the bus and wanted to get to work. She was relaxed, and set in the front seat close to the bus driver. When a white man came in, and asked Rosa Parks to move, she didn't. She simply said, without hesitation, "No."

The man was furious, he told the bus driver, and then he came and threatened her to get off the seat. She said, once again, "No."

That was the beginning of her journey to make a great change in the world. But however, Racism is still a huge worldwide problem till this very day.
