Why is Strength 3 synthetic reed for clarinet too hard to play on?
Everyone has their own preferred strength of reeds. If you are used to 2.5 strength reeds, 3 may give you sore lips, and 3.5 might even make you faint.
It also depends on what brand of synthetic reed you use. For example, the Bari Synthetic Reeds are said to be very hard to play on. While Legere Synthetic Reeds tend to be softer and easier to play on(also quite expensive).
If you are used to playing softer reeds, it will take 1-3 weeks of practising to get used to it.

It is easy. Now I cant do every note. But all you need to know is for the CLAIRINET THE NOTE WILL ONLY START WITH AN E THATS THE FIRST NOT FOR EVERY SONG I MEAN EVERY! THEN ONE ATHOR SECOND ONE IS A QUARTER NOTE. THANKS HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE BIT.
The vibrations start at the reed, but the pitch is changed by the length of the tube the vibrations go down. Therefore, closing more holes causes the tube length to increase and the pitch to decrease.
There are also some changes in the way the vibrations are formed at the reed for the higher octave pitches.

What does a clarinet sound like?
Well first off, I have been playing the clarinet for quite a while now, so to me it might sound different than someone who isn't in band or plays the clarinet...anyway, I think the clarinet is a beautiful instrument and produces a magnificent tone...if the player carries themselves with good posture, then this will improve the tone also. A good reed always helps too! :) Overall the clarinet is a great sounding instrument which produces a sound close to a bass clarinet or possibly oboe or bassoon. mainly the bass clarinet though..hope this answers your question! :)

What is the difference between a German clarinet and a regular clarinet?
If by regular clarinet you mean Boehm System, then the difference is primarily between the schools in which they were developed. The German clarinet or Oehler system is a direct derivative of the clarinets that were in use through all of music history all the way from the clarinet's beginnings in the late baroque era. The Boehm system is based on the flute fingering system of the same name developed in France at the Paris conservatory in conjunction with Klose the writer of the celebrated clarinet method.
In more practical terms the two clarinets have many similarities but disagree on notes such as B3 and Bb3 as well as F5 and F#5 as well as a number of less frequently used fingerings and trills. Also, the Oehler system has the great bonus of having every one of its keys above the water line so none of them ever become clogged with spit or condensation during long periods of play. The Boehm system does not have this luxury.
