I believe that you might have bigger problems than hydrocodone, your liver would shut down from aspirin overdose before you would die from the hydrocodone, it would take alot

In Tennessee you can buy the codeine containing cough syrup at the chain pharmacies (Walgreen's for example can not keep it in stock. A log book has to be signed so it is not really OTC but no prescription required.

Scared to death to take any cough syrup now! Bottom line is, be careful. Read labels and stick closely to prescribed dosages.

Codeine is metabolized into morphine by the liver. This is a powerful opiate. Depending on the strength of the tablets and if your body is used to them they will cause drowsiness. Lower doses may not give drowsiness, but a larger dose tablet will make you drowsy as well as other side effects.

I'm not to sure but i have taken it a while 30/500mg and i started getting sore blister like lumps on the back of my head. sometimes they are itchy. get worse when i take codine tynol. they ease off when i stay away from it but then my back pain is so bad i have to take thrm in the end....
