Is there a generic Tamiflu - Oseltamivir?
No, there is no US FDA approved generic equivalent of Tamiflu (Oseltamivir).
ALERT JUNE 17, 2010
FDA announces internet pharmacy fraud selling mislabeled drug as Tamiflu generic equivalent named TM-FLU. This is a scam.
A drug called TM-FLU from the online pharmacy called TRYDRUGS PHARMACEUTICALS PVT. LTD., at M.G. Road, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, does not contain Oseltamivir, which is the active ingredient of the well known brand of antiviral medicines, Tamiflu.
It will not be effective for influenza. There is no FDA approved generic Tamiflu product. Worse, TM-FLU was analyzed and it does contain Cloxacillin (one of the antibiotics of the penicillin group). This can cause deadly allergic reactions in some people, and antibiotics are not effective against the viruses that cause influenza.
The following advice is given in the FDA announcement (see link):
Consumers can also be confident that the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy Verified Internet Pharmacy Sites Seal, also known as VIPPS Seal, gives a seal of approval to pharmacy sites that apply and meet state licensure requirements. Legitimate pharmacies that carry the VIPPS seal are listed at [the website link below].
The FDA advises anyone possessing or encountering any of these fraudulent Tamiflu drugs not to use them and to contact the FDA's Office of Criminal Investigations by calling 800-551-3989, or by visiting the OCI website [see link].
Health care professionals and consumers are encouraged to report adverse events that may be related to the use of these fraudulent products to the FDA's MedWatch Program by phone at 800-FDA-1088, by fax at 800-FDA-0178, or by mail at: MedWatch, HF-2, FDA, 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20852-9787.
You should not use this drug from this online pharmacy. You should discard any remaining quantity in the proper way for your location. This pharmaceutical company is fake and they are doing fraudulent business.

How do you make pain from H1N1 shot go away?
If you got the injection in your arm, use the arm as you normally would. The more you use it (even though it is worse at first) the faster it gets better. You can also use warm wet compresses on the injection site to help speed the muscle back to normal after a shot from the improved circulation that warm soaks can cause.
How do you know if you have H1N1 or sesonal flu?
trust me you would know because you would be cold and just want to be in bed you can be sneezing, coughing, have diareah or you could be vomiting
Should employers pay for flu or H1N1 09 Vaccines for health care workers?
Yes if there are costs, the employer should pay for the protection of the employee from getting sick when working with contagious patients, as well as for the protection of patients who are vulnerable during illnesses who need this protection while they are in the care of health care workers and in health care facilities.
The H1N1/09 vaccine is provided by the US government (and many other world governments) at no expense to the patient; there would also be no costs for an employer of health care workers unless they do not employ people capable of administering the vaccine at the work location (unlikely). If that were the case, then they may need to send their employees to a public location for the vaccination rather than provide it at the work place, or they may have to pay for someone to come to the workplace to administer the vaccine.
For seasonal flu vaccines, healthcare providers in the US are encouraged by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to see that all their employees are protected. In addition, in accredited health care facilities, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) requires that, to be accredited, the organizations in the healthcare industry must initiate annual influenza programs, offer vaccinations at the work site, and promote healthcare worker participation for the protection of the patients in their care. Therefore, employers really have no choice other than to pay for these for their workers as a cost of doing business. And if workers refuse these vaccinations without medical reasons for doing so, they can be reassigned to non-patient care areas, or may be terminated for not adhering to terms of the employment, this may vary from state to state.
Some states also have enacted laws requiring that health care workers in their states must get vaccinated for H1N1/09 to continue employment as a health care worker.
Can you request the Swine Flu test at clinic?
I took my daughter to the doctor 2 weeks ago with a high fever and no other symptoms other than she was tired. They tested her for the regular flu and it came back negative so they said it must be swine flu and prescribed her Tamiflu. I asked about testing her for swine and they said now that they know it is in the area, they do not send out samples to be tested anymore. They said it would take 2 weeks to get the results back from the CDC even if they would send it out for testing. My husband went to the doctor today with a 102 degree fever and body aches. They tested for the regular flu and it was negative so they treated him for swine also with Tamiflu. I guess they are not testing anymore....that is frustrating.
Is common cold spread by water or air?
The common cold is caused by a rhinovirus, and it is spread through aerosolized droplets (the air) via coughing and sneezing. It is also a rather hardy little virus that can be passed on inanimate fomites (hard objects like door handles and elevator buttons). This is why you should cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing and why you should wash your hands regularly.
When you are sick do you have the flu?
There are many thousands, if not millions, of reasons you can get sick; flu is not the only sickness. If you have the flu you are usually sick, but it isn't the other way around.
Vaccines take a long time to make.
If you had almost every symptom of the Swine Flu and it ended in ten days did you have it?
The symptoms of swine flu are the same as other more common flu strains. There is no way of knowing if your flu was the swine flu without laboratory testing.
Should you get a shingle shot if you have a cold sore?
Mild illness without fever, including cold sores, is not a reason why you can't get an immunization.
It is possible, but usually takes a few days. Unless you are immune to the illness
Are there egg whites in the H1N1 vaccine?
There can be extremely minute traces of chicken protein in vaccines that are made by growing the organisms in eggs. These amounts are so small they are considered negligible except for those with extreme allergy to chicken/eggs. There are also new guidelines for giving vaccines to those with egg allergies safely. See the related questions for more information.
Why do you always get colds even though you wash your hands the hole time?
Because the virus can enter your body when someone sneezes on you...... i just made that up lol
deffo not right. only serious answers please!
Can you throw up from the flu shot?
I suppose it is possible since each individual reacts to medications differently and experiences different side effects....but it is very unlikely that is why you threw up. Especially if you have no other symptoms. If you already caught the flu before getting the shot, then it is possible that you threw up because of the flu, but it is a less common symptom of the flu.
