Lenin believed in the idea of socialism in one country whereas Marx believed in a worldwide revolution. Lenin also believed that revolution would not happen by itself and that it needed a group of revolutionary elite to lead it. Marx believed that all the proletariat would eventually rise and revolt.

Communism was devised by Karl Marx. He believed that there was a great, unjust gap between the rich and poor. His basic philosophy was to even out the distribution of wealth.

Any form of one-party state means a government in which there is no opposition.

i.e. There are no political parties that can challenge the ruling party.

Communism is a form of politics which strives to view all members of society as equal.

the Bolshevik revolution affected WWII in many ways. one of these is that Russia went under a new rule. The Bolsheviks (communists) overthrew the monarchy that was in place.

Communism has no classes or borders or states and will have to exist at a global level, so there can be no such thing as a Communist country. USSR, Cuba etc were state capitalist.

Centralized planning: the state determines what to produce and how much of it to produce

IT IS NOT FAIR! it is fair in fairy land where every one is equal but that's not how it works in reality.

It is a political system where citizens are forced to make personal decisions at gun point. The best way to explain this to children is by performing a demonstration. Find the sharpest knife in your kitchen, hold it up to their neck and ask them this question: "Do you want some brocoli?"

Vladimir Lenin wanted a socialist government ruled by the revolutionaries, that would lead to ownership of the country by the working class and peasants. He was a follower of Marxian ideology, and created an ideology that came to be known as Marxist Leninism.

Prolly cuz extreme forms of communism were considered a threat to Christianity for republicans and considered a threat to civil rights by democrats. We were already a little bit commie and a little bit fascist, but more toward fascism on the spectrum.

None. It should be noted that the Republican congressman (Allen West from Florida) who made that assertion had no proof and was simply expressing a very inflammatory opinion about people in congress with whom he disagrees. Too many politicians have a sad history of making demonstrably false statements about their opponents in the heat of the moment, including questioning their patriotism or accusing them of being communists. West's claim that there are communists in the Obama administration was in fact a lie, and even some Republican commentators felt he had gone too far.

Pure Communism has never been implemented. Karl Marx wrote of actual Communism, yet it has never been used in it's pure form. What most people are familiar with is Stalinism or Leninism, not exactly Marxist Communism. These altered forms often fail because they are more of a dictatorship than what Marx had originally intended.

Communism is about the people running the country and the leader as a figure head.

Equality: 1st group to have equality for woman.

It is not hypocritical as the Capitalist E.G (America)

Talk about the right of free speak of free speech but they have censhiship.

Equality for anyone? Black and white Racism (America).

Disadvantages:

Productivity is low because everyone earns the same amount.

The government decides on what the people can have, rather than what they want. (Rather than people be greedy like corporate buissnesses)

Most all businesses are owned and controlled by the government.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization formed an alliance among democratic nations in case of war.

Containment

In theory, yes, there is individual freedom in communism. However, all communist countries have severely restricted individual freedom, so in practice, no.

The largest Asian country to fall to communism was "China" in 1949

China, north Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Kenya, the Soviet union ( now disolved), Yugoslavia (now disolved into Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Macedonia, and Montenegro), Jamestowns original government which failed and was replaced with a free trade republicesque government, And many more that do the same basic thing but are called by other names or that i don't know about. Note: Kenya might not be a communist state anymore I am not sure.
