Not sure what type of Motherboard do you and waht video are you going to use and what memory us use .. basically what wattage your system need as minuim via their manual then I would add 50% more wats to make it stepped up not to dies out quickly then finially decide what powersupply have equal or more watts to what i calculated then but best one that is most cost efcective .. with a good warrenty included.

You might have a mini that doesnt have an optical drive (a place to put the disc in), then it is best to buy it and download it directly to your hard drive. then you dont need a disc to install and play the game. From past experience I would recommend one with a graphics card that can support a very large monitor as CAD designs can get quite complex and hard to work with on a small screen. Ideally 2 monitors as this allows you to work and see more than one file at once.

If by "get more GHz" you mean speed up your processor, it's a lot harder to do on a laptop. You could overclock it, but most laptops have very few options for overclocking and overheat easily due to the excess heat created. If you need a faster computer, I recommend buying a desktop (which you can actually overclock) or upgrading to a better laptop.

The above answer is correct, it is a matter of opinion. I have owned them both and now own nothing but Apple. Dell makes cheap computers and they also make excellent computers that are just as expensive as an Apple. But either way you will get the Windows OS and that is the problem. Apple computers run on the OSx operating system. Apple makes excellent computers built with quality parts and there are no cheap Apple computers. Apple also makes all the software that comes on that Apple computer unlike Windows which makes very little software. Apple software works flawlessly with OSx. Apple computer also do not need security software no matter what Windows users tell you. Been using my iMac for 5 years with not one infection. There has never been a real world virus to infect OSx. OSx also does not have a registry which is a big plus. Apple computers are IMO, easier to use than a Windows PC.

As for now i wold suggest the Mac mini or the iMac, whichever suits your budget. Considering the new Mac OS X vs. Vista, Mac would surely outrun Vista as Vista needs tremendous hardware upgradation and it also comes ith 6 different editions confusing you to choose the appropriate one. Where as Mac's new Leopard offers the ultimate experience and only one for all. Mac mini and iMac both are the smallest ever home and office computers I've seen. Mac allow you to run Windows applications on it which is not possible in the Vista!
