What does manual input device mean?
where you have to enter the data manually, an example for a manual input device would be a keyboard, to get the system to do what you want it to do you have to type it in on the keyboard or use the mouse.
Passive hubs- do not amplify the electrical signal of incoming packets before broadcasting them out to the network.
Hyper-Threading Technology (HT Technology) is the brand under which Intel markets a generation of processors that can increase efficiency by improving multi-task processing, and are ideal in multi-threaded environments.
What are the Types of ROM chips?
Small in size it contains full electronic circuit within it and also circuit intergrations factors differ from one chip to another
How do you remove the hard drive from a Toshiba 460cdt?
Look at the front of the machine beside the activity LEDs. You'll see a panel. Turn the machine over and unscrew the panel, theres only one screw holding it on. Now, it takes some working to actually get this cover off, but it will come off eventualy. Inside there you'll find the harddrive, its just a simple matter of unscrewing it and pulling the cradle out.Refitting is the reverse of removal.
It would be under "Network Devices" that is if the computer you are checking from is connected to the same network.
Or the Network Address!!
A: A gate any gate make logical decisions to pass or not to pass a true or a false. Since a gate must have two inputs to be called a gate for an OR gate any true '1' signal will pass trough which is opposite to an AND where any false '0' will pass trough
Who controls the computer hardware?
hardware control is a operating system. OS is used to control the elctronic devices(hardware) via user. because user can't control hardware directly so, OS is used to interface computer & user
How many hosts can possible in a class A ip range?
class A ip has 16777216 host but valid hosts are only 16777214.(2^24-2)
So answer is 16777214 hosts
What happens if you have no virtual memory?
If you are using a modern version of Windows (Windows 95 or latter) you will be using virtual memory. Virtual memory is NOT the pagefile and it is not an extension to physical RAM but a system that is completely integrated into the system. Applications access virtual memory exclusively, no exceptions, ever. You can not disable virtual memory. You can disable the pagefile (not recommended) but this will not disable virtual memory. The system provides a virtual environment to processes that is completely independent of how much RAM is in the system. This is an advanced system that provides many important advantages to applications and users.
What maximum number of USB devices can be connected to a PC?
This depends on if you use the other ports on your computer to connect devices to also. If you only use the USB port and connect it to USB hub's you can connect up to 126 devices. Without using any USB hubs you will be limited to only one USB device.
That's a very broad set of questions, but I'll give a small explanation.
The Processor is considered the computers brain. All tasks have to run through it. When looking at a processor you have to look at the speed (in Ghz, the higher the better), the cache (in MB, the higher the better), and how many cores it has (most nowadays have at least 2, the more the better.) You can also find the core size in mm^2. The LOWER the core size, the better in general. Smaller cores tend to be cooler and use less electricity, allowing them to be clocked at higher speeds.
For most people the biggest speed increase comes from more RAM. RAM basically holds information until the processor can get to it. RAM can be in either Megabytes (MB's) or Gigabytes (GB). 1 Gigabyte is equal to 1024 Megabytes. The most common RAM sizes are 256 MB (Fairly rare nowadays), 512 MB, 1 GB, and 2 GB. Again, the higher the better, meaning you'd want as many GB's as possible. 1 GB is fairly standard in newer computers, and a lot of them will have 2 or even 4 depending on the price range. They can go higher than that, but most don't.
You can get into more details about RAM, but for beginners the most important thing to know is that more RAM is better.
The Hard Drive is what stores all the information on the computer. Most hard drives are Mechanical hard drives, which are the slowest kind available right now but are a ton cheaper than faster drives and can hold far more information. When checking the Hard Drive in terms of looking for speed, the higher the RPM's, the faster it will be. The Cache is also important, the higher the better (will be anywhere from `8 MB-64 MB probably)
If you're into gaming, the graphics card has the biggest effect on how fast games can run. Graphics cards are a lot trickier though. The core size on graphics cards matters more than on processors, because there are a lot of them out there and of a couple different sizes. Again, the smaller the core size (sometimes called the "die" size), the better.
For graphics cards there are also several speeds that need to be checked. The memory on it will have it's own speed, as well as the core clock, and the shader clock. For all of these, the higher the better.
And lastly, how much memory the graphics card has needs to be checked. In general anything over 512 MB should be fine, and most now have 1 GB. Anything over 1 GB is usually excessive and not needed, so don't feel like you have to spend a lot more money on a 2 GB version of the same card.
That's the basics, but keep in mind better looking specs don't necessarily always mean better performance, computer parts can be tricky to judge if you don't know what you're doing. Shop around, and try to read reviews and comments on any part you're thinking about getting. A simple google search of the component will bring you tons of both.
What is the function of ROM in computer?
If you find where your monitor is connected to the tower and unplug the cable connecting it you will see the port the cable was connected to most likely it is DVI or a VGA cable check on you tv for an identical port most new TVs have them if it doesn't you will need to buy a VGA or DVI to composite video (red white yellow cable) adapter make sure you get a vga adapter if you have a vga port or a dvi adapter if it's a dvi port. If your tv does have a vga or dvi port on it you can take the video cable off your monitor and plug one end in the tv and one in the tower then you need audio you can take the cable with the green ends of the back of your monitor and put it in the port on your tv that says either audio in or aux. If its not brand new just a couple of years or if it's a new tv it might have an s-video port (circular black port about the size of a dime) and if your computer also has it you can get an s-video cable buy one if you don't have one and connect it that way connecting the audio the same as if you used a vga cable.
First of All ROM stands for READ ONLY MEMORY the role of ROM in computer is to store all the Information about any computer hardware such as the processor speed, CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives etc. It is a permenant memory which contains also BIOS (basic input output system) configuration and settings.
How do you charge a ds without the charger?
No , you can't but you can go buy one as a backup.... But to answer your question No you cannot charge a 3DS without its charger. Sorry. :(
Well what it says on the top is true, but it is possible to charge it if you have a dslite and a dslite charger. It can charge but the annoying thing about it is that you need to screw and unscrew multiple times. So to do this you need to unscrew your ds battery port and 3ds. get a rubber band that is thick once you take the ads battery out you can see the three gold lines match the + to the + port for the DS and middle gold line for the - port. support it with a rubber band and then connect it with the charger it will charge, but it will take a little longer. Once you do this I recommend you to put power save on and put the light as low as possible in order to play as long as possible.
What speaker port should you use when connecting a single speaker to a PC?
If you are using a single speaker or two speakers with a single sound cable, connect the cable to the green sound port on the motherboard, which is usually the middle port. A+ guide to hardware 5e pg.397
What is Z-drive on a computer?
It doesn't really exist. When computer networking first started, the software used assumed there would be lots of hard-drives attached to the system. Each drive needed a unique way to identify it, and thus they used the alphabet. Floppy disc drives built-in to computers were labelled A & B, and the built-in hard drive was labelled C. Networked drives used the letters D, E, F and so on. Theoretically, you could attach up to 23 hard-drives - although that never actually happened.
What are the essential parts of computer?
What DVDs does a DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive use?
== == Toshiba sells it's DVD drives as DVD-Super Multi Double layer drives. What all it supports will depend on specific model and firmware, but most will support DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD+R DL, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-RW.
USB's are called Jump drives in America and you can transfer your work from one computer to another or just store it on the USB.
