What is the purpuse of ports?

Do microphones use electromagnets?

The microphone works by producing a small induced voltage in a coil from the effect of sound waves hitting a diaphragm. It is very similar to a loudspeaker in reverse with a diaphragm instead of a paper cone. This type of microphone is called a moving coil microphone. The sound waves strike the diaphragm and move it backwards and forwards at the same frequency as the sound (like the way the ear drum is moved inside the ear). The moving diaphragm moves the coil backwards and forwards which induces a changing current at the same frequency as the sound. This changing current (called the signal) is sent to an amplifier which makes the changing current big enough to be used for recording or to drive loudspeakers. The loudspeaker reconverts the changing current back into the original sound. A microphone converts the sound energy into electrical energy.

Is the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 faster than the Intel Dual E2180?

If you mean "better" in terms of performance, it is the Intel Core 2 Quad. The Core 2 Quad has 4 CPU cores, compared to the Core 2 Duo with only 2 CPU cores. This means that the Core 2 Quad is twice as fast as the Core 2 Duo and four times as fast as normal CPUs with only one core.

Well this answer is wrong to a great extent. the reason the e8500 is very popular still is because although it only has 2 cores each core is running at 3.16 GHz which makes it great for software or programs that only use 2 cores primarily. its great to have 4 cores but the q8200 only runs at 2.33 GHz. that means if your using something that only uses 2 core primarily the e8500 would be better because the 2 cores are 3.16GHz compared to the quads 2.33GHz. now for programs and softwares that are optimized to use 4 cores the quad core is obviouslt better because it will actually put the 3rd and 4th core to work. the reason i personally chose to get a e8500 is because its super easy to overclock and the truth is quad cores are not really being used yet. if you like doing video editing and a lot of multimedia work than the quad is probably for you but as far as playing games and doing simply everyday use the e8500 is definitely the way to go. the answer truly depends on what you like doing most. But from my personal opinion i would go with the e8500 because 4 cores are simply not that popular yet for programmers and it probably will be a couple of years before quad cores are really taken advantage of but when that time comes the quads of today will be cheap compared to the new ones that come out. so personally ill go for the e8500 but its all up to you

What advantages does atx have over micrcoatx?

Size is the advantage.

MicroATX is usually much smaller than normal ATX and usually has fewer expansion slots like PCI (+variants), fewer DIMM sockets (usually 1 maybe 2) they are often built around budget or low cost CHIPSETS. Much of this depends on the manufacturer. Some motherboards come with the CPU soldered on while others use a socket. Often mATX boards cost the same as ATX and if space is not an issue in your chasis, then go with a Standard ATX. Standard ATX provides a better upgrade path over µATX.

ATX is just a way of describing the type of motherboard.

How do you convert Mini Digital Video cassette into DVD or computer?

You can do this yourself with your camcorder and a firewire cable on your computer or you can send the tape to a video transfer service like StashSpace.Com and have it converted for you (they charge $6.95 per tape).

To do it yourself you need to import the video from the tape into a video capture software like iMovie, winodws movie maker, or StashSpace.Com's StashBox. Just connect a Firewire cable between the video source and the computer. You can edit the material in iMovie if needed. Then, from the Share menu, send the video to the Media Browser. You can then load the video into iDVD and create a stylish DVD. Full instructions for each of these stages are available from the Help menu in iMovie.
