computers are not found. they are designed and built. they are the most complex machines ever built.

The Macintosh project started in the late 1970s with Jef Raskin, an Apple employee, who envisioned an easy-to-use, low-cost computer for the average consumer. He wanted to name the computer after his favorite type of apple, the McIntosh, but the name had to be changed for legal reasons.

They are unnatural, and therefore unintuitive - the natural way for a human to interact with another human is by verbal and nonverbal communication.

Computer's can't think for themselves. They aren't intelligent. If you feed a computer incorrect information, it will result in an incorrect output.

They cannot adequately deal with 'fuzzy' terms, unlike humans who describe most things in a fuzzy way: "Oh, it was *hot* today," or, "John's car cost him a *fortune*," and "It's *almost* seven o' clock - the takeaway's open."

A computer can't tell you something completely new, it can only derrive something based on something known that it was previously programmed to manipulate. They are not creative or imaginative, nor are they prone to arbitrary moments of genius.

They are unquestioning devices. They do not feel and they do not understand ethics.

Computers can only adequately process information that may be quantised. They cannot adequately deal with abstractions.

Finally, the greatest limitation of a computer is that they are engineered, built and used by humans. They expose our flaws and undersights.

Computers have many capabilities. They are not intelligent machines and work off instructions, therefore it can perform many instructions and complete them almost instantly. Computers can connect to the Internet, which means your computer can share information and resources in real time, thus expanding the capabilties of a computer. Computers are very efficient, fast and also have very accurate results to the things we ask them to do.

Information and Communications Technology or Information and Communication Technology (ICT), is often used as an extended synonym for information technology (IT), but is a more specific term that stresses the role of unified communications and the integration of telecommunications (telephone lines and wireless signals), computers as well as necessary enterprise software, middleware, storage, and audio-visual systems, which enable users to access, store, transmit, and manipulate information. The term ICT is now also used to refer to the convergence of audio-visual and telephone networks with computer networks through a single cabling or link system.

A personal computer is comprised of core hardware and software components. The "brain" of the computer is the central processing unit, or CPU. The CPU will be located on component panel known as the motherboard. The motherboard will also hold slots for the computers RAM (memory) modules. Other hardware may include graphical processing unit (GPU) and sound cards. A hard disk is used for data and operating system storage. The computer will be electrified by a power supply unit. These core components comprise a contemporary personal computer.

The Allied Forces military used the computers in its first elemental form. In time use of the computers extended from military use to government use and commercial use. But those computers could be as big as our living rooms and still not have as much computer power as a calculator of today.

Primary storage, called RAM memory, is temporaty one that holds data and instructions while it is processing both. And slower but more permanent is secondary storage. And those are hard drives, CD drives, DVD drives, flash drives, Zip drives and floppy drives.

The Macintosh was introduced by Apple on 24 January 1984 using a great commercial based on George Orwell's 1984.

In December, 1983, Apple Computers ran its famous "1984" Macintosh television commercial, on a small unknown station solely to make the commercial eligible for awards during 1984. The commercial cost 1.5 million and only ran once in 1983. News and talk shows everywhere replayed it, making TV history. The next month, Apple Computer ran the same ad during the NFL Super Bowl, and millions of viewers saw their first glimpse of the Macintosh computer. The commercial was directed by Ridley Scott, and the Orwellian scene depicted the IBM world being destroyed by a new machine, the "Macintosh."

A peer to peer network consists of devices that ALL provide services to the rest of the network as well as using them.

This is in contrast to a client-server network model in which a specific computer called a server provides services that the network clients use.

Examples of services that might be provided are file storage, printers, Internet access and so on.
