Who came up with and developed the idea that a computer program could actually be stored in the computer memory itself in the form of encoded CPU instructions?

This is not known. John von Neumann is commonly credited, but he simply documented an idea that had been discussed for some time by the various designers of ENIAC.

What is the difference between only memory and random access memory?

Memory on a computer is comprised mainly of the hard drive. The hard drive is comprised of several magnetic discs spinning at high speed. The main advantage of hard drives is that the magnetic receptors hold the binary information even when power is cut and the disks stop moving.

Random Access Memory or RAM is made up of millions of transistors built into microchips. A transistor is a minuscule switch that is triggered by electricity. When the power is cut from the transistors, eventually they loose their charge and revert to their default orientation, therefore erasing any data stored within them.

However, RAM is a lot faster and more efficient than data stored in hard drives. So, when the computer first boots up all that time is spent transferring data from the hard discs to the RAM and vice versa when the computer is turning off. that is why it is so important to shut a computer off properly. During a hard shutdown, power is immediately cut from the system. Therefore any data in the RAM will be lost.

If your computer will hold 1GB of memory and it only has 128 MB of memory how much can you add?

In principle, you could 896 MB, however you'll almost certainly have to remove the 128MB memory and replace it (probably with two 512MB). If this is what I think it is, namely a blue and white Apple Power Macintosh G3, the computer had two 64MB DIMMs in it when it shipped. You have three options: Install two 256MB DIMMs (always PC133--the book says PC100, but PC133 is compatible and it's all you can get now anyway) alongside the 64MB DIMMs to have 640MB RAM. Remove one 64MB DIMM and install three 256MB DIMMs for 896MB. Remove both 64MB DIMMs and install four 256MB DIMMs for 1GB.

Is wiretapping or electronic surveillance permitted under the Constitution?

ROM memory is Non vollatile memory?

Yes. Read Only Memory remains on a chip or a disk. You can not change it. It does not vanish when the computer is turned off. Some programs can access ROM. Sometimes disks crash. You should have backups.

Are SDR SDRAM modules still available for Intel Pentium III PCs?

Yes. You can still find them on eBay, and in limited quantities from some online retailers.

Is 2.00 of Hz smaller that 2 MB?

Hertz is a unit of frequency. Megabyte is a unit of memory size. The two units are not convertible.

Compare human brain and computer memory?

The human brain is a 'hero' in front of a computer memory which is almost a zero. The human brain has got the ability to think, dream, invent, etc without any assistance. But the computer memory cannot think independently and need external assistance to do all the works even though it has got a large memory size. Learning is another great ability of the human brain. And above all the human brain has a mind for expressing its emotions. The computers lack these abilities. We know what a computer is capable of but the scientists are still trying to find the other great abilities of the human brain which are still not known to us.

Is a clip-on device that mounts on top of the processor fingers or fins at its base pull the heat away from the processor?

yes, usually mounted directly to the top of the processor is a heat-sink(piece of aluminum with fins, lots of what could be called fingers) its purpose is to dissipate(remove) heat

A COOLER is a clip-on device that mounts on top of the processor; fingers or fins at its base pull the heat away from the processor.

How to Replace dashboard 1994 dodge ram?

have fun. bring plenty of tape and a pen to mark everything unplugged and wher it goes. I would pull te seat out of the way to make it easier. The steering column will have to be dropped also. Just start looking for all the screws to get panels out of the way. drop glove box, radio mark all wiring as you go If your truck is an automatic watch for the little cable attached to column this movews your indicator for park reverse etc. To reinstall it have your steering column back in place and pull the cable unti it is on the neutral area with the tranny in neutral and everything will line back up on gear selector. Your vacuum lines can be a pain, but remember if if it won't unplug from this end will it unplug from that making it easier. mark everything as you disasemble There will be screws in the vents by the windshield and probably under the speaker covers, these just pop off with a screwdriver or door panel removal tool if you have one
