I will assume you are talking about November 5th 2011. If so, this makes your estimated conception date February 11th 2011. However, this date could give a couple of days out. It should also not be relied upon to determine paternity.

The best would be to ask your pharmacist. If your periods are regular, you can take the test the day after that when your period would normally start. But just to make sure and not waste your money, wait for another two or three days - then do the test.

A typical pregnancy lasts, on average, 280 days, or 40 weeks - starting with the first day of the last normal menstrual period (LMP) as day 1. For example, if the first day of your last period was January 22, the date of conception will be somewhere around 5th/6th February if you have a 28 day cycle. The majority of women ovulate 14 days before a period, and most have a cycle of around 28 days. From ovulation to birth is 38 weeks and for the hundreds of years before ultrasound, working out 40 weeks from the beginning of the last period was the only way of working out the due date. If your cycle is shorter or longer than 28 days, work out when your NEXT period would have been due and you probably conceived about 14 days before that.

It doesn't look that likely. I'm due September 26th and my estimated conception date was January 5th. If the ultrasound is done in early pregnancy (First Trimester) the accuracy of determining a conception date is within 5 days before or after the conception date, so you have a ten day window. one week after conception there usually isn't much for pregnancy hormone in your system to cause pregnancy symptoms, though it's possible. if your period is late then I recommed taking a home pregnancy test. ~pawsalmighty I had plenty of symptoms after one week, it is possible, the ClearBlue pregnancy test detects HCG the earliest, I wold take one now and see if you see a very faint blue line???

The ultrasound date is approximate and based on the size of the baby, but if you go back exactly that far it would be Sept 21.

No, not necessarily. How far along you are is estimated based on the first day of your last menstrual cycle. For example, if you just missed your period, then you're probably already 4 weeks pregnant!

It's not exactly accurate to say late December because not everyone is the same. The baby may be born in mid-to-late December. Sometimes babies are born early, so with that in mind it's not really possible to determine an exact date.

at six weeks & one day since my LMP they told me I had a sack. they sent me home w/ a picture from the ultrasound. said it was too early to hear a heart. the technician was sketchy about details & informed me "someone would call me & inform me of the next step" -- the next step. i never got a phone call. in the meantime i was so excited to be pregnant i told EVERYONE. my next doctors appointment was scheduled for 11 weeks (since LMP) week 8 they called me, but only to push my appointment out to 13 weeks. at nine weeks i woke up bleeding, it got worse & worse at by 10:00 that night i passed a very bloody large sack the size of two adult thumbs. no one ever told me this pregnancy wasn't viable. like a jerk I told all my friends & family I was expecting a baby. they had to have known something to order an ultrasound so early. they knew. they had to have saw something to use the verbage, "the next step" -- but no one ever called me so like a fool I went & told everyone & showed anyone who would look at my ultrasound picture! I hate doctors. if you don't hear a heartbeat be suspicious. pester them. call again & again. everyone is so afraid of liability no one wants to take responsibility for anything. you need to take responsibility for yourself. do not expect anything. it doesn't matter that you pay close to $700 a month for a family plan for healthcare. be your own advocate. read. be informed. and above all DO NOT tell everyone you are pregnant before you hear a heartbeat!
