Some well know customs in Croatia are for sure Croatian songs, actually Croatian folklore and their clothes.

Also Croatian holiday traditions are really well known. They go to church at 12.00 am , at midnight on Christmas Eve, celebrate Christmas with families, eating a turkey is usually the lunch they eat. On Christmas eve they eat fish (well it's not allowed to eat meat).

On Easter they have big family lunch and eat home cooked ham with lots of other stuff. So you can say that most of their customs is food. Haha!

During summer it is tradition to go to Adriatic sea for couple of weeks ( if you aren't living on the coast), Dubrovnik is the most touristic place.

In Slavonija and Baranja ( eastern part of Croatia) are two big cities. Osijek and Vukovar. In November people go to Vukovar to see and to give support for all the people who died during Croatian war with Serbia.

There is a lot of well known customs in Croatia but these are most important for Croatian people. And I would know that since I'm Croatian. =)

A person with star appeal is a gift from the heavens. Only a handful of people have this wonderful gift. People with star material are known for being talented at so many different things. Its also the way you carry yourself as an individual that makes your light shine. You don't have to be a celebrity to be a star you can make a difference where ever you are.

The famous Lockheed Constellation was a beautiful airliner made during WW2. The early versions carried 70 passengers almost 3,000 miles which in those days was amazing. Trans World Airlines and Pan American ordered many of them There were many, always better versions of this aircraft and it flew in many services for over 20 years. Both the USAF and USN used them extensively during Vietnam as spy planes and air controllers. I worked on some in Africa in the 1960's where they were chartered cargo carriers.

Most constellations are visible about 300 days per year. Only when the Sun is very close to that constellation is it entirely hidden. But since few of us get up before dawn to study the sky, we typically see only "evening" stars.

The arctic got its name from the constellation Ursa Major, also known as the"Great Bear". The Big Dipper is the tail of the "bear". It is the most prominant constellation in the Northern Hemisphere. Arctic is actually from the Latin Arcticus which in turn comes from the Greek work arkitikus which means Northern Bear. The Greek word for bear is Arktos and so Northern Bear referred to what they saw when they gazed towards the northern heavens. Cassiopeia Cassiopeia was the wife of King Cepheus. She was very pretty, and would often brag that she and her daughter were more beautiful than the sea nymphs, the Nereids. They complained to Poseidon, who sent a monster to Cepheus' land. In order to save their country, the king and queen sacrificed their daughter, Andromeda. Just before the monster, named Cetus, ate the princess, Perseus saved her. All five figures are represented in the sky as constellations. Cassiopeia has a very distinct shape. She looks like a "W" or "M" in the sky, depending on where she is. Some legends say that Cassiopeia was chained into the sky and sometimes hangs upside-down to remind others not to be so boastful. Cassiopeia is a northern circumpolar constellation, so it can be viewed all year long. It is home to several clusters, or groups of stars. M52 is a large cluster on the western edge. With a telescope, many distant objects can be spotted. There are a few nebulae within Cassiopeia, including the Bubble Nebula and IC 1805.
