Do you oil a square head framing nail gun?

What are cannon plug pliers?

Cannon plug pliers: Used primarily for aircraft maintenance. Some aircraft have round electrical connectors (called cannon plugs), consisting of many small pins that insert into one another. On the outside of the connector there is a sleeve that is then screwed down onto the opposite side of the connector to keep it in place. The cannon plug pliers are used to grip the circular sleeve and to turn it from it's locked position to either remove the connector or to lock it back into place. The pliers have rubber gripping material instead of hard metal teeth in order not to damage the electrical connector, and also to prevent the transference of unlike metals that could lead to corrosion on the connector.

Which has a greater torque a perpendicular force applied at the end of a wrench handle or an equal force applied in the same direction near the middle of the handle?

the perpendicular force applied at the end of a wrench handle. Because torque= Fd / T = F d cos θ

therefore the greater the distance the greater the torque.

T=torque

F=force

d=distance

cos=cosine

θ=theta

Drill bit used for a 20 millimeter tap?

I would use an 18mm or 23/32 drill bit, in general, although it does partly depend on the thread type ( UNF, UNC etc) and the material .

How do you get a broken drill bit out of a bolt?

What is the difference between a drill and a drill motor?

It's a regional term like "pop" is to "coke". In the south I have actually heard people ask if you want a "orange coke" or a "coke coke". "Pop" is never used... In the north I have heard the term "drill motor" used where other areas will just refer to it as a "cordless" drill, or "drill".

ANS 2 I believe it's more a technician/layman thing. -All over the world amateurs say "drill" meaning the whole machine AND bit . We technicians or carpenters see the two 'pieces' -the portable drill motor, and it's variety of 'bits'.

In short, to the asker, I would say a 'drill' is actually a drill bit, and a 'drill motor' is the part that powers it.

Is it worth buying the omni dual saw?

Where to9 buy parts for a Montgomery ward 17 inch drill press router shaper Model No THS 2437B?

The most troublesome part on these drill presses is the speed-control circuit board. The board simply will not handle the current drawn when using larger-diameter drills (half-inch, for example) at the necessary low speeds large drills generally require when working in metals.

Rather than replacing the poorly-designed speed-control board, simply bypass it and use a variable transformer (Variac tm, for example) with at least 20 amps capacity. Be sure to keep the original on-off switch in the circuit !!!

The other part that may be difficult to find is the router chuck. Best wishes on locating one.

But for the excessive high-frequency noise from the high speed motor and the direct-drive gearbox, these are good tools. The original Supreme chuck is fine chuck, too.

Who invented the slip pliers?

Calculate wrench size?

To calculate wrench size you measure across the flat surfaces of the nut or bolt, then pick a wrench marked with that size. Be careful, there are metric and SAE nuts and bolts and some wrenches are close but not right. -For instance you should not use a 1/2" wrench on a 12 mm nut. -It may look right, but will round the edges of the nut.

Which drill can be used to drill a hole on glass?

Yes you can use a drill for glass, but glass/ceramic bit will need to be purchased at a local hardware or building center. Once the bit is purchased use the highest speed setting..
