Is it possible to overdose on Cymbalta?
Though it may be somewhat difficult to do, it is very possible and the lasting effects from a Cymbalta-related overdose are permanent and severe, at least from what I have personally experienced. If you have previous personality disorders (which by taking this medicine already- I would assume that you would), they will be greatly altered in a negative manner. I personally advanced from typical depression/anxiety/borderline to now dealing with agoraphobic schizophrenia. The typical side effects of dizziness, confusion, overheightened senses (usually causing hallucinations)- they become a permanent issue. I attempted to treat the 24/7-constant-panic problem with medicines such as Clonezepam/Klonopin. After having to come off of Klonopin due to side effects, I ended up being hospitalized because of what I assumed to be withdrawals. By the time the withdrawals should have been over and the medicine entirely out of my system, I was in worse condition than I was even in before. This, I discovered, was how the Cymbalta had left me. Permanently psychological, chemical, and nerve damage. Since this event, I am still going through medicines like a child in a candy store. None of them seem to work for much longer than a short period of time. I would strongly advise trying to avoid even a slight overdose of Cymbalta/significant increase in dosage, and especially attempting to fix yourself by consuming all of the Cymbalta you can get your hands on. The damage is not worth the risk. Previous Answer listed: Ultimately, yes. But it's probably difficult to do. Cymbalta is classified as a Serotonin/Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor, which is an offshoot of the mainstream SSRI class. Psychiatrists like the SSRI's because of their low level of toxicity, especially relative to the last-gen TCA class, whose toxicity was something to be considered. While a frantic patient could conceivably commit suicide by ingesting a month's worth of TCA's at once, death is quite unlikely to result from doing the same with a thirty-day supply of SSRI's. (The victim WILL be quite sick, though.)
What is the maximum dose of Cymbalta to take a day?
Yes, it' a safe medication. However you may have obvious
adverse effect if you suddenly increase the dosage of Cymbalta.
Physician seldom prescribe Cymbalta more than 120mg per day.
What is starting dosage for Cymbalta?
Usual starting dose is 30 mg. 60 mg might also be used as the starting dose.
How long does it take to lose weight gained while on Cymbalta?
I'm no expert, but I'm trying to get off it myself. It is--in effect--out of my system almost entirely. I am feeling the effects of that. One thing to keep in mind is that the brain chemistry is affected. Withdrawal from a drug that produces stimulation and altertness--including SSRIs like prozac--is likely to produce fatique and dullness for awhile. I don't know how long this lasts... but the brain has to get used to a new normal, and things may be uncomfortable for awhile.
Can you take Cymbalta and Valium together?
As far as I know, I have read the combinations of both medications and there doesn't seem to be any reason why not - but that always makes me think that if it does clash then I'll be the one who causes the medication docket to need to be re-printed.

If you are considering doing this, please do a cold water extraction of the pill. Look up cold water extraction and learn to do it, all you need is a shot glass or pill bottle, a freezer and a coffee filter. This drug is not something you should IV, it's very dangerous, there are a lot of alternatives that feel better, I have tried it for the sake of discovery and I can tell you that it's not a very good rush considering how dangerous it is, try to find something better and always use a cold water extraction / coffee filter if you are going to IV pills. There are better ways to scratch your itch this one will kill you. Investing in syringe filters would be better. The previous answer to the question is very wrong and dangerous. You will get very hurt and could easily die if you do what he/she described:
yes you can-wellbutrin 300sr-crush it heat up in spoon until it boils and dissolves then suck it up in needle and inject-you want it to boil, but not to much PS.ive done it way to much and my arms are destroyed so be carefull
At first, it worked just like above. After doing it maybe a dozen times, my veins clogged up each time, causing large blood blisters and widespread local anesthesia (i.e. entire forearm), with pain just outside the reach of the numbness. It also hardened my veins, up and down, so now I'm left with my hand veins as viable for other substances. I find the resulting solution of Wellbutrin after being crushed and mixed with water is viscous and slippery to the touch. When in contact with blood, the blood seems to congeal quickly. This is a bad idea, unless one could produce a less dense solution.

Who is the actress in the Cymbalta commercial?
I think it is Lisa Edelstein who plays Hospital Director, Lisa Cutty on the show House.
It reminds me of Peri Gilpin who played Roz on the tv show Frasier. What do you think?
The name of the actress of the Cymbalta commercial is Lisa Darr. The reason that she might remind you of Roz is because she was in the episodes of Frasier titled "Four for the Seesaw" and "Don Juan in Hell: Part 1"
that isn't her but thank you for trying, the one i am talking about is the one with the long black hair and she is seen later in the commercial smiling as if she is now on cymbalta and it is working for her, she has the dimples

Can you mix Cymbalta and hallucinogens?
People have taken hallucinogens and antidepressants such as Cymbalta together, although the results are mixed. Sometimes people report more intense experiences, while more often the effects of the hallucinogen are weaker. Although serious reactions seem unlikely, it is best not to mix antidepressants and hallucinogens. Additionally, those with severe depression are discouraged from taking hallucinogens anyway, as they may exacerbate symptoms.
