Where is the orgin of salsa?

Salsa is origianally from Cuba but it is played in other countries, for example Jamaica, Africa, Spain, Mexico, Italy (eg). How it got started? a: It got started in Cuba when people would have radios on their shoulders and music playing. While the music was playing those people would sort of like shake/move their hips and start creating a dance. People would follow and there would be one leader and a group behind him. Whatever the leader dances, the group will too. It's kind of like follow the leader.

I hope that helps!
