Dance

This poem tells the story of slavery in a rhyming, rhythmic dance. It is ambitious and complex. There are two narratives running in parallel: * the actions of the dance, and * the history of a people which is being enacted. Going down and under the limbo stick is likened to the slaves' going down into the hold of the ship, which carries them into slavery. In Roman Catholic tradition, limbo is a place to which the souls of people go, if they are not good enough for heaven or bad enough for hell, between which limbo lies; it has come to mean any unpleasant place, or a state (of mind or body) from which it is difficult to escape. The story of slavery told in the poem is very easy to follow, yet full of vivid detail and lively action. The poem has a very strong beat, suggesting the dance it describes: where the word limbo appears as a complete line, it should be spoken slowly, the first syllable extended and both syllables stressed: Lím-bó. While the italics give the refrain (or chorus) which reminds us of the dance, the rest of the poem tells the story enacted in the dance: these lines are beautifully rhythmic, and almost every syllable is stressed, until the very last line, where the rhythm is broken, suggesting the completion of the dance, and the end of the narrative.

This isn't my opinion but Strictly Dance in Norval Ontario has THE BEST DANCE TEACHERS, STUDENTS, AND WORKING CONDITIONS. Everyone there is nice and kind so you won't have a problem if you go there! TRUST ME THERE AMAZINGLY AMAZING!

If the situation was uneasy at first she might of felt uncomfortable and now the line was crossed where she does not want to see you. However the motive behind it could be anything, she might like you and not know how to react to it. Her friend might of gotten jealous and made her do it.

Best thing to do is give her some space then confront her very nicely and if she isn't ready to talk about it then give her more time.

You have to wait until the lines not busy anymore. However, you can vote even before they dance.

Yes, several dance schools in the area seem to hold cheer-leading classes including Lynn C Duncan School of Dance and Signature Dance Schools.

it depends on the requirements of the director and how good the other dancers auditioning are, but from my experience, these are some good things to be able to do at an audition:

splits, all three is best

be able to kick almost to your face with at least one leg (right or left)

a triple pirouette is good

smile! look like you're having the time of your life

leaps that are full split or really close to full split

ability to pick up choreography

something to keep in mind is that it looks better to do something clean rather than something sloppy, like if you can't do a perfectly clean triple then just stick with a reeally good double. or if you cant kick all the way to your head, don't bring your chest to your leg and just keep it clean with straight knees.

hope that helped and good luck!

Robert Frost is talking about silence. The secret is the inner, divine, place inside of all of us where we retreat to when we are able to quiet our mind. This place is where absolute knowledge comes from. The dancing and supposing is our day to day charade of living in which the external world tries to tell us what the world is like our should be like.

Finding the secret will open doors in your mind you never knew where there.
