If gold were sold by weight is it more cost effective to buy it in Denver or Death Valley?

Now I am not a geographer, nor do I live in the US but I can guess that Death Valley is closer to the Earth's centre than Denver.

Taking this into account, one should recall that the gravitational force between two masses is proportional to 1/r2 where r is the distance between the centres of masses of the two objects.

Therefore, as the distance between the two masses increases, the force of attraction decreases, and so the perceived weight of say, a gold ingot is more as we get closer to the centre of the earth.

Denver is further away from the centre of the Earth so if I were you, I would buy gold there, and not in death valley.

Just for fun: if death valley is 1km lower than Denver, then the gold will be approximately 0.031% heavier and cost 0.031% more (taking the radius of the earth to be 6500km).

What state is the grand cannon and in Death Valley in?

What crops are grown in Death Valley climate?

None. People say that crops can grow but they cannot.

Since the temperature is so hot and dry, the sun produces so many light that is can cause a disease in the crops. If you want to grow crops in Death Valley then you have to go to the park because the trees cover the sunlight so farmers provide them enough water and sunlight to grow.

I hope this helps. :)

Why does Death Valley get so little rain?

Prevailing winds travel northwest to southeast in this part of the world, storms follow this track too. While some of the water carried in the storm clouds is dumped onto coastal communities, much of the moisture remains in the clouds until the reach the mighty Sierra Nevada mountain range.

When clouds encounter the Sierras, there's nowhere to go but up. As the clouds rise, the air cools. Cold air cannot hold as much water as warmer air, so the water condenses from the clouds and drops as rain or snow on the western flanks of the Sierras.

This precipitation supports luxuriant vegetation on the west side of the range as well as glaciers and snow fields on the higher peaks. Not a lot of moisture remains by the time the storm reaches the eastern side of the Sierras. On encountering the warmer air of the continental interior, any remaining clouds warm up and can retain their moisture without dropping it on the parched earth below.

Where is the valley of the shadow of death situated?

It is in Israel. It is a place where Shepherds would walk their sheep through to take them to higher and better pastures.

One side is a wall of mountain while the other is a steep drop off of the edge.

The staff was used to scrape the edge of the cliff while the rod was used to beat the wall of the mountain. This would allow the sheep to stay between the two sounds and remain safe.
