We need to remember that the world we know won't be the same without the plants and animals which are a part of its identity. For example, the Olive Ridley turtles, an endangered species, lay eggs in the beaches of Orissa every year. And we do a terrible job of keeping the adult turtles or the eggs safe.

Many other species have become extinct. This issue is serious enough to warrant a close inspection.
