The numbness and thickness after a molar extraction usually goes away after a few hours but could last a day or two. Usually by the next dental visit the numbness, thickness and swelling should be gone if not inform your dentist.

HELL NO!!!!!!!! do that and she will end up in an emergency room. DO NOT DO THAT!!!! If she does, it will make things alot worse, make her sick, mess up her gums and probably prevent the tooth from being replaced.

that is a question only your doctor can answer. It would probably depend on what was used and any meds taken. I totally agree with the above poster. Usually your doctor would tell you when you are first pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant to get your teeth in shape. Carrying a baby takes a lot of calcium out of your body, thus more problems with your teeth so if they are not in the greatest shape you are going to have problems. I wouldn't think giving you laughing gas or anesthetic a good idea. I had my wisdom teeth taken out with just plain old freezing. If your wisdom teeth aren't bothering you let it go for now. If they are bothering you it would be wise if you asked your doctor to put you in the hospital to have this procedure done. Good luck

Any anti-yeast or anti-fungal cream works, active ingredients clotrimazole or terbinafine, if a yeast/fungal infection is the cause of the skin darkening. Yes this is used for what the guys call "jock itch", a fungus that occurs when skin rubs together in sweaty skin folds, genital area, between toes, etc. Also ladies sometimes get yeast that can affect outer areas of skin. Many skin lightening/bleaching creams are available over-the-counter with active ingredient Hydroquinone, max 2% strength in USA, max 4% strength in Canada (Porcelana, Ultraquin, many others). It may be helpful to exfoliate the skin with cosmetic scrubs containing alpha-hydroxy acids to strip away dead skin cells.

You should probably wait another week or so. You have gaps in your gums where your wisdom teeth were, and those gaps are highly susceptible to infection at first. If you were to get an infection there, it would be very painful and could cause further problems.

No. I am going to assume that the most likely reason you tooth was pulled was due to a significant amount of caries (cavities) or disease to the surrounding periodontal (gum) tissue. So the bacteria that caused your first tooth to be pulled could have already done damage to the tooth next to it. In your case, the bad tooth was probably helping support the one next to it, and once it was pulled, the tooth left behind is on its own.

So in this situation the extraction had very little to do with "lifting the tooth next to it" Give it a 4-6weeks for the healing process to complete and the loose tooth should firm up.
