Does Alice in Wonderland go to school?

Alice is taught at home by a governess. In Victorian England it was common for middle and upper class families to hire a governess to take care of their daughters' education within the family home, while their sons went to boarding school.

From the text of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland we can see that Alice has attended school (a day school, not a boarding school) but that she doesn't at the time the book is set.

"'I've been to a day-school, too,' said Alice; 'you needn't be so proud as all that.'"

However, she is clearly being taught somewhere.

"'But then,' thought Alice, 'shall I never get any older than I am now? That'll be a comfort, one way-never to be an old woman- but then-always to have lessons to learn! Oh, I shouldn't like that!'"

In Through the Looking Glass, which is set six months later, it is made apparent that Alice has a governess.

"'That would never do, I'm sure,' said Alice: 'the governess would never think of excusing me lessons for that. If she couldn't remember my name, she'd call me "Miss!" as the servants do.'"

What color is the cat from Alice in Wonderland?

In his book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll doesn't describe the Cheshire Cat except to say that it is "large" and "grinning from ear to ear" and has "very long claws and a great many teeth." Tenniel's illustrations are in black and white, so there is no indication as to its colour there either. However, for the Nursery Alice, Tenniel hand coloured twenty of his original illustrations, and he depicts the Cheshire Cat as being an ordinary, cat-like brown colour. (See Related Link below)

In the 1951 Disney adaptation it was pink and purple stripes.

Of course, there are actually two cats in Alice in Wonderland, the Cheshire Cat and Alice's pet cat Dinah. In Lewis Carroll's version, Dinah is never seen, but she does appear in Through the Looking Glass where she is depicted by Tenniel as being a tabby, but her colour isn't specified. Dinah does appear in the 1951 Disney version of Alice, where she is portrayed as being a reddish brown.

Did Donald Duck have three niceces or nephews?

Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck.

Phooey Duck is the fourth nephew of Donald Duck and lost brother of Huey, Dewey and Louie. He is not really a character, he is the fourth nephew drawn by accident in the Donald Duck comic. He has been named Phooey by Disney comic editor Bob Foster, the name is originally a term which, sometimes spelled phooie, or fooey, expresses dislike or disappointment. There are many instances where Phooey appears. Some, however, are not really true appearances, but rather some other Junior Woodchuck who looks like the three nephews. One short Egmont-licensed Disney comic explained Phooey's sporadic appearances as a freak incident of nature. In one Saint Patrick's Day comic-book adventure, Phooey appears as a Leprechaun or Guardian Angel in disguise as a duckling.

What inspired Walt Disney to create Mickey Mouse?

Mickey Mouse was created by Walt Disney, Ub Iwerks and Les Clark in 1928. He was created to replace Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Disney had previously used the character of Oswald in several animated shorts produced by Charles Mitnz. In 1928, Disney's requests for an increased budget was met with opposition from Mitnz, who instead insisted that Disney take a 20% budget cut. Mintz owned all rights to the Oswald character and had also signed most of Disney's animators to a new company, producing shorts for Universal Studios.

Disney refused this deal and worked with Iwerks and Clark to create a new character. Mickey Mouse (originally called Mortimer) was inspired by a pet mouse once owned by Disney. He debuted (along with Minnie Mouse) in the 1928 short, Plane Crazy.

As a result, the king locked the girl up with straw and a spinning wheel, and told her that she must spin the straw into gold or die the next day. While the girl is lamenting her fate, a dwarf (Rumpelstiltskin) appears, and offers to help her. However, the price of helping her is her first born child. Out of despair, the girl agrees.

Yes, It was originally supposed to be the Magic Kingdom and an experimental community called EPCOT (Experimental Prototype City Of Tomorrow). In late 1966 Disney was scheduled to undergo a neck surgery for an old polo injury. On November 2, 1966, during pre-surgery X-rays, doctors across the street from the Disney Studio discovered that Disney had a tumor on his left lung. Disney went back to hospital for surgery, but the tumor had spread to such great extent that doctors had to remove his entire left lung. The doctors then told Disney that he only had six months to a year to live. He died on December 15, 1966 at 9:30 a.m. Roy Disney continued to carry out the Florida project, insisting that the name be changed to Walt Disney World in honor of his brother. EPCOT became another park (EPCOT Center) and the magic kingdom was a nickname until there was a need for disambiguation.
