How to teach your dog tricks is easy. Don't start out as hard ones like Down, Beg, Up, Roll, and Over. Start out with some basick ones like Sit, Lay, and Bark. ll Like for Kids, they go to school. They start as Kidergarten and work their way up to inprove their work. ll It's the same with dogs. How, you say. Easy for dogs they have kidergarten too. To teach dogs tricks start out with saying Come here "Sable". Then when your dog comes, give it a treat or give it a pat and say good girl/boy. Then, say Lay Down "Sable" and if it doesn't work show it a treat or bone and then say it ones more, then if the dog still won't give it some rest for 20min. come back and try again. When you are done with Laying down, Give it a Pat ot a Treat and say Good Girl/Boy "Sable". Then you can do the same with These steps. > Kidergarten: Lay down, Sit, Bark. This could be for several reasons. First, if your dog has not peed on the carpet before but is starting to now, I would suggest a trip to the veterinarian to check for a urinary tract infection. The irritation caused by a urinary tract infection can cause a normally house-trained dog to squat and urinate frequently throughout the day.

Second, if your dog has not peed on the carpet and you've recently had a major change in the household (moved to a new place, wedding, divorce, new kid, kid leaving for college), this could be a sign of stress. Keep a close eye on your dog for the next few weeks and reassure him/her that his/her schedule will still be there.

Third, if your dog has always peed on the carpet, this is likely a learned behavior - I would suggest talking to a dog trainer about how to retrain your dog to urinate outside.

I have an adoreable dachsund/shih tzu mix and he used to have a real problem with licking. I learned that when a dog is licking you and you want them to stop, take a step back, just out of reach of the dog, saying firmly (never meanly) a word that you will say when you want them to stop like, "That's enough", or "No more". Then step back to your dog. If the dog continues, repeat. After so long, if the dog does not stop after a good amount of repititions (it will also depend on how long you can stay patient), leave the situation. The dog will learn that when it licks you, you say a word, it needs to stop. The dog will learn you will not tolerate disobediance.

That's a liability nightmare. if your dog is on a leash when it eats that yukky poop,pull your dog back and tell him "leave it" with a firm voice. if that doesn't work, get infront of your dog (don't step in the poop!) and snap your finger at your dogs mouth. Do not get your hand to close to your dogs mouth! Your dog might have a much more different response

I take the plastic covers for gutters that are meant to keep leaves from clogging the drain pipes and attach them to the bottom of the gate with cable ties. I put one on each side and tie them together to make them more rigid. If the gate is higher off the ground than that, buy some pig wire from the farm supply store and attach it at the bottom. Pig wire is a rigid wire fencing that a small dog could not bend like chicken coop wire.

Like I say in most of my answers, it all depends on the dog. However, in general, puggle puppies are pretty easy to potty train. So if you have a dog of this breed, potty training should be pretty easy for you.

With licensed dog walker I have heard there are no licenses to receive in this area but if you register a company such as DBA or similair, you could probably get away with say you are licensed.

Next you should setup an account with paypal to receive payments from clients.

Then you will want to setup a basic website, it should list who you are, what services you offer, your prices and service area as well as how to contact you.

After that you should register with Google adwords and start promoting your website.

Then contact pet sitter associates and purchase insurance and bonding as well as registering with either PSI or NAPPS.

Yes, they are easy to train. The trick is, since they are so small, when they are starting to have an accident or already had one, first scold them, then take them outside as soon as possible. If they do go out side, praise them and cuddle them. Every time you take your Shih Tzu outside, make sure they go to the bathroom, so they know that when they go outside, that's there time to go, and no other time. This worked very well when I did this with my Shih Tzu.

Never scold a dog for going to the bathroom that's terrible. Use positive reinforcement. Puppys have very small bladders and need to go out very very frequently. Instead of scolding the dog. Give it a treat and praise when it does its business outside. It also helps to bring it to the same spot to go potty every time. If you cathc it in the act of peeing or pooping a firm no will do and then take it outside to its potty place. If you are consistent with training and let your puppy out often, this will get your puppy potty trained quite fast. But scolding your dog will usually result in it being scared of you and its more difficult training a dog who's afraid.

Well, I guess it is just their nature. Many dog's were and some still are taught to hunt creatures, but I believe it is their playful nature! My dog also chases shadows at night, and also chases lights, like if you shine a torch around on the floor. I don't really think there is an exact answer to your question, but I do hope I have helped a little.

The dog may has probably formed a stronger attachment to the person that it is following. This happens more often with an older puppy or adult dog that you have brought to your home. If you are the main caretaker and give the dog more attention then the other household members the dog will most likely attach themselves to that person. This can be seen more often in the breeds that are considered a "one man dog" breed.

well it depends on how you want to train them if you want to make them protective over you that's easy you only keep them around you don't let anyone pet and love on them exept for you pit bulls are easy to train. but if you want them to be nice take them around people for they will be use to people really it all depends and some pits don't have a mean bone in there body like my brothers dog use to be crazy but they played the crazy right out of her and now she is the nicest dog you will ever meet

It is because You are not taking him outside as often as you think you are. Or...your giving your dog too much food and letting the food just sit out. Set a time where you feed your dog. two or three times a day is fine. Your Dog will poop when he cant hold it any longer. So take him outside very often until he goes poop.

Lab's are defiantly friendly dogs they are very effectuate but when labs are young pups they can be naughty and lively they need lots of walks
