Once a dog starts attacking a smaller dog then all the training in the world is not going to help. Dog owners with these types of dogs should put a muzzle on the dog and also keep them on a tight lead. The only place this type of dog should be let run free is an open field where there are no other animals or people around. The problem with some dogs attacking other dogs is they may also attack children or adults. Why some dogs do this and others don't is even a mystery to vets. If another male dog is neutered then generally the other dogs that aren't or even are will leave that dog alone, but, in the case of a dog such as yours that won't even stop them. Trained to listen to your commands or not I wouldn't trust your pet. He/she may be loyal to you, but you can NEVER trust this dog with other dogs or even other people.

You need to tell them good reasons to adopt one. There are alot of reasons to adopt one.
1. Adopting a puppy/dog could save his/her life from being euthanized in a shelter.
2. You offer to be able to care for her/him, feeding, cleaning up his/her messes, train him/her.
3. You could tell them that a puppy would be the perfect thing to get?
4. You could offer to pay for him/her. Shelter dogs come with a small fee for his/her shots and care.
5. You could promise to give him/her attention all the time, even when he/her grows out of her/his puppy stage.
If your parents dislike you begging, then its best to stop. My parents would always say "The next time you ask again, the answer will be no." So, I ended up getting a red heeler puppy, that's now a year old. Hope I was able to help!

Keep in mind that it's not "just a puppy". The annual cost of owning a dog of any sort is anbout $1,000. Over the 10 to 12 yearlifespan this is over $10,000. In addition the presence of a dog in a home lowers its value and potential resale value. I it's "your" dog and problems develop - allergies, sickness (in the dog), or it turns out to be vicious- are you going to "man up" and take it to have it put down?
